I should have posted this sooner but have been out of town. I hope people will still catch it.
NBC is showing the Paley Center panel of This Is Us tonight, Tuesday, 9/18, at 10:00 Eastern and 9:00 Central.

As it turned out, the program was not a Paley panel. It was so much better! It was called a "Salute to This Is Us" from the Paley Center. It was full of interview clips with all of the actors, creator, directors and producers, as well as film clips of special scenes from the first 2 seasons and even original audition clips. It ended with a sneak peek at a season 3 episode and the director said that the season 3 premier is his favorite show so far. I can hardly wait until next Tuesday!
There was no doubt that the actors are totally invested in the story they're telling and it was touching to hear stories about how this show has touched the lives of viewers. Surprise, surprise - I cried! There were a couple of promos for the creator's new movie, "Life Itself," which opens this weekend and is similar in nature to This Is Us. Dan Fogelburg had been working on the movie when he decided that it might actually work as a TV show and This Is Us was born. I'm betting the movie will be great too.
If you're a fan of the show and missed this special, I strongly encourage you to try to watch it on NBC's home page or some other service. It's so well worth it!

I just got my Direct TV hooked up after only viewing on line since mid July. I was surfing the guide and happened to see this listed. Great tribute to this amazing show. You could really see how every cast member is invested in their character and also how supportive they are with each other. It was fun to see the auction tape and then how it looked when they shot the episode. Paley did an amazing job with this tribute. Looking forward to season 3. If there is anyone who has not seen this show I highly recommend you start from the beginning. The pilot episode should have won awards for its brilliant writing. It sets up the series so well.
