While it was nice to see Alexis and her dad working together, it was still very strained between them and that's not a dynamic I enjoyed. I also felt that any time Castle and Beckett weren't working together, the show was diminished. I will never understand why the showrunners couldn't see the magic they had and play to that strength.

I agree with nathanfan, I never enjoyed episodes when Rick and Kate were not interacting. That's what kept most of us coming back every week those first 6 years. I did not like Alexis much during the Pi arc. Rick treated her like a little Princess and for her to act like that when her Dad did not agree with her choices was just wrong in my opinion.
