Air date 4/22/2013 ( ** I have this listed for this date and episode 21 however ImDb listed this as episode 5x22? Did I get it wrong or imdb?) After tracking a killer to his apartment, Beckett steps on a bomb trigger and must stand in place while the bomb squad finds a way to defuse it. Castle stays with her, and they argue over who liked who first, via flashbacks. www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=2faa186094c6 This was the extra episode they had to add at the end of the season. True OCD fans loved this episode as it reviewed all of the fun Caskett scenes from the previous 4 season. Casual fans didn't get this episode. I remember watching Kate's lips after Castle left seeing her whisper "Always". You couldn't hear it but you could see it. I like to think my comment to Rob Bowman about how obvious that there was nothing in coffee cups had them hire someone who could do creative designs on the espresso.

This was such a touching episode! They did an awesome job of tailoring the flashback montages to the bickering and using it all to relieve the obvious tension. Hearing Kate tell Castle she loved him sent me over the moon and that embrace when she stepped off the bomb brought me to tears. I also loved the ending with Gates telling them to go ahead and kiss!

I would be embarrassed to say how many times I watched that episode for oh so many reasons. It showed us many of the reasons why we all loved Castle so much. Rikki and I are watching the first 6 seasons for summer viewing and it just reminds us what a GOOD show it was. We are half way through S2 and loving it all over again. Still was awesome from beginning to end. Rick, refusing to leave Kate's side said it all. Kate telling Rick(finally) that she loved him. The end scenes were great with Gates, the boys, and Rick and Kate. I can't help but smile just thinking of it all. I can't think of any other TV show that ever touched me as much as Castle did. It still amazes me that I could get so caught up in, of all things, a TV show. What a wonderful ride those first 6 seasons were

My nephew and his family were visiting the last 2 weeks. They have two kiddos 15 and 16. They saw Castle on my DVR and we started watching. they both really enjoyed the show. We watched most of the 2 part episodes up to season 6. I told them to must not watch season 7 or 8. One of them started binge watching on her phone. The show still has a draw for new viewers.

This episode is #21 on the DVD set, but #22 on my iTunes season pass. If I remember correctly, ABC switched this one with Squab for some reason. The network has done lots of things over the years that make us scratch our heads and roll our eyes, lol. Even so, this is still one of my favorite episodes.
