Thanks for posting the review, PTVJ. I continue to enjoy the show, despite the obvious Castle crossovers. Last night Sam was spouting theories much the same way Castle frequently did, but I still find the characters likable and the whole dramedy genre suits me well. I do like the way they're taking time to build a sense of friendship and partnership between the leads before ramping up a romance. There's a hint of teasing but that's not the driving force right now. As the reviewer said, it's good summer fare for me too.

I enjoyed this episode. I didn't notice quite so many Castle references. One that did come to mind was when Eddie and Sam went to see Eddie's old partner at his bar. It started out like Zeus had a beef with Eddie before we found out that they were partners and still good pals. I can't recall the specifics, but I seem to recall a Castle episode when Castle took Kate to a restaurant to talk with a mob buddy of his, and the mobster first appeared to be ticked off with Castle before welcoming him with open arms.
Overall, I'm enjoying the show so far.

I enjoy it when we are given twists and turns and the final reveal is neat the end.
They have some interesting side characters slowly coming along.
I am not comparing this to Castle as that was lightning in a bottle. I don't think we're will ever see that Chemistry and writing again. I will just enjoy seeing a well written mystery every week.
I see they dropped to #2 behind a rerun this week.

I was relieved to see they aren't beating us over the head with Castle references this week. My family found it enjoyable. The mystery was very intriguing, and that's important.

We are really liking this show. It's our fave show of the summer thus far. We are in the process of rewatching the first 6 Castle seasons and, of course, see the similarities. Castle stands alone as the best TV show that I've ever seen. That being said, we are still enjoying Take Two as a fun show to watch. It's better than lots of other shows we watch regularly and we will enjoy the ride.

So I'm pretty far behind after being away visiting family, but I finally watched the second episode and I like it much better than the first. Both characters are growing on me and I liked the way Eddie stood up for Sam in court. These two are cute together.
