Even though I didn't get to watch this yet I had to read your review. Nice to know I have something positive to watch when I get home from my trip. π I was hoping this would happen. I would think they would make them get a new partner but this is tv not real life π€©

He said that when they were considering this ending, he asked their NYPD technical advisor to bring him the written rule about spouses not working as partners...and they were both shocked to find it doesn't exist! The rule says they must let their superiors know about the relationship, but there is no official rule saying they cannot work together, although most are encouraged not to. They figured that gives the writers leeway to keep them together as partners, and gives them plenty of new drama to play with moving forward.
