When Beckett & Castle pick up a witness to a murder, hired killers attack, and they lose their cell phones and Beckett's gun. They run for protection while Esposito and Ryan try to find them. The killer is not who they suspect.

This episode starts with the dinner with the parents. Beckett and Castle are thankful to be called away as it is not going well. I had to make this puzzle of the surprising ending to this episode.

This was one of those episodes that left me wishing for more. More heartfelt discussion between Rick and Kate, and more scenes between Martha and Jim.

I liked this episode a LOT. The end scene was great with how perplexed Rick and Kate were seeing their parents together after the disastrous dinner. It made my heart go pitter patter when Kate ran into Rick's arms. I like how the killer made the two of them think about some things. I loved Rick's comments to Kate about how it didn't matter how they looked on paper. I enjoyed how during that season how Rick was the voice of reason about their relationship. I always felt that he loved her for the longest time and knew that they would be good together so no obstacle was too big to overcome. It was a wonderful show at that time to watch and nothing on TV has come close to what Castle once was.
