Loved Scarecrow and Mrs. King.... I couldn't get enough of them. They were adorable.

In the one for Bo and Hope from Days of Our Lives, I admit in the caption that I ditched school to watch their wedding. My Mom just emailed me from across the country to ask if that's true. Oops! I'm busted 30 years later. LOL!

Hi Everyone, At TV Fanatic we do something called Throwback Thursdays where we take a look at TV from the past. This week I did a post for the most memorable TV couples from the 1980s. I was a latch-key kid in the '80s and watched a lot of TV (probably why I'm a TV reviewer today.) I can talk '80s TV all day long. I'd love it if you'd take a look and let me know what you think. Did you have a favorite back in the day? www.tvfanatic.com/slideshows/top-tv-couples-from-the-1980s/ I watched Scarecrow and Mrs. King, loved that show and thought it was a lot of fun. Star Trek, TNG was also a favorite of mine but I didn't think much of Picard and Dr. Crusher, now Picard and Vash were something and one of my favorite episodes is with Picard and Kamala. I also liked Troi and Worf.
Mrs. G absolutely LOVED Dallas. She was a big fan of Bobby and Pam and when they had Bobby show up in the shower and make an entire season turn into Pam's dream she stopped watching the show. You do not mess with my bride and her favorite shows.

Oh RG, I remember when Dallas had the "dream" season. As much as I liked having Bobby back, I was mad too because it erased some storylines I really liked. JR and Sue Ellen had found their way back together. Donna was pregnant and she and Ray had just found out that the baby had Down's Syndrome. They were considering whether or not to terminate the pregnancy or have the child. I so wanted to see how those stories played out but...poof! They were gone. I never stopped watching but I did find it really frustrating.

Where is Tony and Angela from Who's the Boss??? Everyone always forgets them! They kept up the will they/won't they for seven seasons before getting together in season 8 and had some of the best on-screen chemistry of the decade. They were my first ship and still one of the best out there. To refresh your memory, here's some great "best of" scenes! :-) Great Catch Angie!!!!! That one went totally went over my head. What a great duo they were. Savvy, Classy White collar vs. Ex-ballplayer blue collar with a heart of gold. And what chemistry between them. Amazing. And lets not forget the very young Alyssa Milano. Hard to believe she is 42 now. Good one Angie!!!! <script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/75606fbd/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>

I just wanted to throw out a couple of more. Cliff and Claire Huxtable of the Cosby Show, Sam and Diane of Cheers(never understood that one, but it worked), And of course...Al and Peg Bundy of Married With Children ( we all reveled in their misery!!! LOL).
And three that don't count....Kate and Allie, Cagney and Lacey, and Crockett and Tubbs of Miami Vice(The first show to really incorporate music into the emotion of a procedural crime drama.)

I was a latchkey kid but I had my my nose in computer magazines and I was either programming or playing PC games with the TV tuned in to MTV (Nina Blackwood FTW!). Otherwise I was outside riding bikes, collecting insects, and identifying plants or inside reading Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, or Encyclopedia Brown. Yeah, I was that kid.
Guess I didn't contribute to this thread but back then couples were "ewwww". Watched a lot of Knight Rider. Liked the mechanic. Does that count? Ditto with the two Heathers (Locklear and Thomas) and who can forget Daisy Duke but I digress.

Maybe it's the difference between boys and girls but I've always been a shipper, even as a kid. Who can forget Heater Locklear from Dynasty/TJ Hooker? And Heather Thomas from Fall Guy. Of course I remember Daisy Duke but I was more of a fan of Bo Duke. I still have a serious crush on John Schneider.

Like Tycho mentioned, I didn't watch much TV in the 80's because the family and my teaching job demanded all my time. It's only been since I retired that I've had a chance to go back and discover some of what I missed from back then.
I'd have to say that Scarecrow and Mrs. King are my faves but I also loved Tony and Angela from Who's The Boss. I've only seen bits and pieces of Remington Steele but have enjoyed the chemistry there as well.
All that being said though, when I compare these couples to Castle and Beckett, I think their chemistry trumps them all!
