Good job on the reviews. There was so much going on throughout this series it will take time to process. I hope they got some good ratings and views.

Hi everyone PTVJ - For me, you have surpassed your previous reviews of Castle with these reviews that you have given to Absentia. If anyone was uncertain as to whether they should give this series a watch, then if your reviews did not encourage them to do so, then they will never watch it! Thank you! I found the post by gremfandango very interesting. So, I have cheated and watched the first and the last episode without watching the ones inbetween because some cousins kindly allowed me to watch the final episode under their Prime membership as I am still reluctant to do the 30 day free trial although I am already an Amazon customer, just not very often. All I could think was 'give Emily a break already!!' Despite everything that I assume happens in 2-9, Emily is still going through hell. Having to watch her son being punished for something that she did as a child...harsh. Finally being the one to take down her tormentor but showing that she could kill - again. And I just wanted someone to give Emily a hug as she looked out of the car window having to watch her son and her husband with someone else. A reminder as if needed of what she had lost. And damn, but when Stana/Emily smiled in the hospital, I couldn't help but smile with her. Also Emily and Nick seemed so at ease with each other. No awkwardness or embarrassment when they talked about the hotel and he told her he was going to be a dad again. And then the birthday party and how easy it seemed for Flynn to call Emily mom. Also obvious that Emily would always fear the sound of running water. And if she did kill Harlow would anyone really care? What would be achieved by punishing Emily for his death? Not a series that I could watch again because it was tough watching just once, but I really, really hope (against hope probably) that Stana finally gets the recognition that her fans believe she deserves with some kind of award. Would she be eligible for the People's Choice Award at least? And if she were to get an Emmy it would finally give us a chance to actually watch her receive it! B

Thanks so much 1Lincoln40! I've never binge watched and reviewed a series before, so this was a first for me, and part of the reason I took on the challenge was because of the encouragement I got here at PFJ. I'm really happy you enjoyed my reviews. Now I promised my husband that I'd watch the series again with him, and as much as I'm looking forward to catching all of the little details I may have missed the first time, the emotional intensity can be exhausting! I'm wondering if it will feel that way upon a second watch.

PTVJ - I applaud you and anyone else who is able to watch Absentia more than once. However posters like you have said that the reason they are watching again is to catch those moments that will be clues to what happens later and also to digest the series more than the onslaught of the first watch.

I am watching again (and again ) .... I'm obviously a Stana-holic so to see her acting is such a treat, and the overall twists and turns and remaining questions and possibilities make me anxious to see another series....'cuz I don't think it's over...yet .... I definitely think they could continue on...and wouldn't it be nice if someone (like Det. Gibbs, who I admittedly have a soft spot for) could give Emily a reason to smile and maybe even laugh....while still chasing bad guys and demons . A girl can dream, right???!!!! I can definitely understand those who find the darkness, and the killings, and BLOOD!!!! hard to take, because I do too, and I really feel sorry for anyone hoping to find a Beckett-like experience, however, the overall story and character interactions help overcome that for me....
