They will be airing an episode right after the Super Bowl. From the things I have read it sounds like we will finally reveal how Jack dies. They will have another episode on Tuesday. The episode this week and the next 2 will be the ark for the reveal. I like that they are letting us know more about Miguel this season and making him more likable.
If if you watch this show please post what you think of these next couple of episodes.
The seres has done well wth being noticed by the awards. The Randall character played by Sterling Brown, in particular have been raking in the awards.

I know I've said it before, but this series is amazing! I just adore the way they can set something up and make the reveal so intriguing. A perfect example is the whole crock pot thing this past week. When the episode opened with the older couple trying to clean out and prepare to move, I was totally baffled as to what they had to do with the story. Then we saw the guy give the Pearsons the old crock pot with the information that the switch could be tricky. I never gave it another thought until we saw it catch fire after the Super Bowl evening.
I have my own theory as to how Jack died. Kate has said that she feels like she was responsible for her dad's death. In Tuesday's episode, we saw her reluctant to get a dog even though Toby wanted one desperately. She even lost it as she was waiting at the shelter because it upset her so much to think of having a dog again. In the past scenes Tuesday night, we saw Kate sharing quiet moments with her dog in her bedroom as she dealt with the pressure of applying for college and her own self-image issues.
My theory is that Jack was able to get Rebecca, Randall and Kate out safely and Kate was beside herself that the dog was still in the burning house so Jack went back in to try to save it and he died in the process. Maybe that's too simple and obvious but that's what I'm thinking!
I can hardly wait for these next few episodes!

Nathanfan1 that is the same way I am thinking that Jack dies. Kevin is at Sofies house so that plays into his issues as No 1 was not there to help his Dad clear the house. We have to wait now until after the Super Bowl

Spoiler If you saw the episode what did you think? They still managed to keep us guessing for awhile. Miguel had a few lines. Jon did a great job showing how devastated he was wth His best friends death. The ost emotional scene for me was Kevin’s chat wth his Dad at hs tree. The guilt he has been carrying about his last words and not being there to help his Dad clear the house has shaped hs life for 20 years.

The episode did not disappoint. When Jack came out of the house with the dog and the bag of mementos, we figured he would die of complications from the fire. It was so great the way it was filmed with the focus being on Rebecca in the foreground and seeing the medical staff rushing into Jack's room in the background. And seeing how each of the kids dealt with the anniversary, giving more background to how their characters were formed by this huge loss in their lives. Definitely a multiple-Kleenex episode!
