Hi everyone Tycho - thanks for posting the article. What I enjoy about online articles is not just the information but also reading any comments and as usual tvline does not disappoint. The usual persons defending Nathan and believing that anything negative about the new series is from Stana fans. However what I read was comments from fans of Castle and the fact that after 2 years we are still angry says a great deal about how passionate we were about the series and how it ended. What was the most prevalent negative for me was the news that Nathan's character would get romantically involved with a 20 something woman. For those of you who know about how this works, do I take it that this series will not air until September due to its shooting start? And is it usual to still be looking for a supporting cast given that shooting is scheduled to start in March? B

I'm a little concerned because this feels as though it is being thrown together quickly, but Alexi Hawley certainly has plenty of experience. I hate what he did to Castle, but he also wrote for Body of Proof, which I enjoyed.
I'm willing to give Nathan's character's romantic interest being a 20-something the benefit of the doubt due to the premise of the show being that he's a fish out of water in an environment where everyone is going to be much younger.
If the show is starting production in March, it should be ready to air for September. We'll all just have to wait and see what we think about it until then.

PTVJ - thanks. My problem with Alexi Hawley is that as soon as he is a producer, the show is cancelled. He was involved with The Following, and I hated that final season of Body of Proof. Characters disappeared without being mentioned and although Megan always had an issue with her father's suicide, once again we got a conspiracy. And the interesting younger man, older woman relationship was dropped and he was a lot of fun. The effect on Megan was the same as the one that Castle had on Beckett.
As you say, it will be interesting to watch how this production progresses, how soon and how often we get more information on not only the characters but an idea of the structure of the show. However if Hawley and Fillion transfer the humor of Castle's last season to this series....count me out!
