Would you watch without both leads?

That is a really good question. Currently, watching live means I only get 5 hours of sleep, at most, on Castle Mondays. If Stana does not sign, I will still give it a chance, but not live. Takes too much out of me at the beginning of the week. What can I say, I need my sleep.

We get to watch at 9:00 which is nice. Bad thing is it's 2 he's after the east coast so can't look at live tweeting or viewing party.

I would definitely give it a shot but I think I'd have to view it as a new show with familiar actors. I just can't imagine me having the passion and delight that I've had with Castle if either one of the leads left.

Really good point.  I can't imagine following the show the way I do now, even if I end up watching it.

I'd say it's impossible for the show to go on without them both but they tried it with The X-Files years ago...and in my opinion it was a total disaster.

I love the entire cast so of course I'd keep watching but since the Castle/Beckett dynamic is what drew me to the show to begin with, I can't imagine it would be at the top of my must-see list the way it is now.

Every day I wait to hear that Stana has signed that contract! It just wouldn't be Castle without her.

I never watch live anymore as I'm at work on Monday night when the show starts so my VCR (yes I said VCR) watches the show for me and I watch the episode when I get home Tuesday morning. (Is in PST)

I'd give it a go to see if I could still keep watching but I hope it doesn't come to that

I'm willing to give it a shot. I won't be happy about it but I haven't been happy since 6x22 even though there have been some very good episodes. Given that context, I'm willing to try something new with the show but it needs to be one of best written show ever produced if it's going to survive. The other reason why I'm willing to accept change is because I'm resigned to my fate that my beloved Castle run from 1x01 to 6x22 is over.

As for the comments about timeslot affecting sleep and work schedules, I too have to get up at 5AM and that 9-10pm slot is when I get ready for bed. If I don't, my work and fitness performance takes a hit for several days. I'd rather take the time to enjoy the show and not be constantly staring at my watch. As of today I still have 2/3rds of 7x21 to watch. Went to bed Monday, worked out Tuesday night, Wednesday the wife wanted to try out Scorpion, and tonight was another workout.

It's a hard to say. I want to think I would at least give it a chance but, the show without any one of core the characters, let alone one of the leads, just really would not be the same. And, for me that change might just be too much.

Sorry to say that for me, no Beckett, no Castle watch. That amazing chemistry between Nathan & Stana is what makes me watch the show every week and go back and watch previous episodes.
