I will need to wait until after Thanksgiving. I get burnt out if I start earlier. WE have one radio station that starts playing all Christmas music and I think they keep starting earlier and earlier. It use to be after Thanksgiving but I think they are doing it before. I mostly listen to audiobooks in the car or my own music playlist

We feel Hallmark has upped its "game" this year. Some of the movies are really GOOD

They play a lot of things I like, but waiting until Thanksgiving is soon enough. Several stores have had Christmas displays up since the middle of October.

I'm itchin' to dive into my Hallmark holiday movies but have told myself that I have to wait until after Thanksgiving. While so many are out shopping on Black Friday, I'll be binge watching my favorites from last year!
Geezer, please let me know what you think about this year's new offerings. I don't have the Hallmark channel so I need to know which ones I should try to find elsewhere.

The best I can suggest is see if you can look up a synopsis of this year's movies somewhere. GOOD LUCK

Christmas and holiday TV. Lots of memories there. Till I started to learn how to cook, Thanksgiving was sneaking Junior Mints and cashews while watching WPIX in New York broadcast King Kong, Son of Kong and Mighty Joe Young. It was really a pain to have to stop watching and go eat Thanksgiving dinner...I always seemed to miss the best parts of whatever movie was playing!
Fav's that I grew up with: Christmas in Connecticut White Christmas Holiday Inn Miracle on 34th Street Bells of St. Mary's It's a Wonderful Life
Thank goodness for modern marvels such as DVR's! Now all I have to do us pause a movie or record it and never miss the good parts again!
And for the life of me I can't remember a whole bunch more. Darn, I guess memory IS the second thing to go...still wondering about the first...

Hey RG! Good to hear from you! I totally share your list of great holiday movies. White Christmas was and still is THE holiday treat at our house. We almost make a ceremony out of watching it. Our kids grew up with the movie and have both, faithfully, continued the tradition with their own families. Danny Kaye will forever be one of my favorite actors!

RG! This was my Thanksgiving too. I remember my cousins and I watching these movies at my grandparents as we waited for dinner to be ready. As we're both in the NY area, it was even the same network, channel 11 WPIX. I haven't watched any of these old movies in years. I might just have to track them down...

I was checking out the Hallmark schedule and saw that last Sunday, they premiered a new Christmas movie starring Marc Blucas, one of my very FAVS! Did anyone see it? It's called Miss Christmas. I'm hoping to find it on You Tube since I don't get the Hallmark Channel, but I'd love to know what others thought about it.
Last year Marc was in 2 Hallmark movies and I loved them both! Operation Christmas and The Irresistible Blueberry Farm

Since I don't have the Hallmark Channels, I stalk You Tube for people posting the holiday movies on their own channels. So far this season, I've watched Home For The Holidays, which was OK, The Magic Stocking, which I really enjoyed thanks to some great characters, and today I got to see The Christmas Train. It's based on the book by the same name and was a very good adaptation IMO. Of course, the book was able to develop the characters better but the movie did a good job of hitting all of the same major plot points and the acting was well done. I liked the casting of all of the characters, especially Max.
