Pete -- THANK YOU! OMG! I had a little mouse whisper in my ear via facebook that there were birthday wishes here for me, and I couldn't be more DELIGHTFULLY PLEASED! THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU for starting this thread! It truly was my (and Ernest's) pleasure meeting you and your darling wife, and spending the time together. I have to say that weekend was a highlight of my year, and it's always such a beautiful experience to finally meet those face-to-face that I have felt friends with through the infinite cyberspace as we know it! The meeting brings the whole world close, and I was blessed by yours and Rikki's presence. So, thank you for joining us, and for your kind words and efforts here!
To the rest of you.... it's LOVELY to "see" you, and I THANK YOU for remembering me and taking the time to send me the kind wishes. I miss you all very much.
This has been a busy year - we had a family vacation in Arizona/Grand Canyon over Christmas last year, our 25th wedding anniversary was in April, so my husband surprised me with a trip to Paris, our eldest son got married end of September, a meeting of online friends earlier this month, a week at my son's place out of town to watch his (now their) cats while they honeymooned for ten days, and two bridal showers over the summer, one of which I hosted here in our town at a period mansion with real dishes, linens, the whole nine yards - that was a feat in and of itself, as I had to shop for a lot of vintage what-knots to complete the table-scapes, and then the cups and saucers were given to the guests to take home as a parting/thank you gift. The other bridal shower was out of town, so that was a few days away for me. I have to say, having a daughter now is SO LOVELY! She and my son are a match made in Heaven! 
And, lastly, our youngest was accepted into a nursing program out of town (he wants to be a nurse anesthetist), so we will now be preparing for his move in between Christmas and the New Year. So, all in all, I have had a lot of memorable moments - this has been an incredible year. And well, seeing your wishes here today...they have warmed my heart. So, THANK YOU!
I hope to check-in/be around more as the days go on, although, it seems I am on the brink of going back to work here soon. And will spending some time re-doing the kids' bedrooms now that they have/are moving out. Swiftly fly the years....
We shall see what "tomorrow" brings, but I will check in here more often. It's a great place to connect/re-connect. And I know if it's been too long, a few here know how to "find" me away from here, and will nudge me back.
