We were camping this past weekend so I'm a little late getting the weekly puzzle and discussion going. This was not my favorite episode but I know that Nathan loved this episode. I think he had fun dressing up like Elvis. I think I have only watched this episode twice. summary: Atlantic City (New Jersey) hotel-casino co-owner Sam Seigel's corpse is found in an abandoned New York warehouse. Captain Victoria Gates keeps Becket in the office to test her skills 'without Castle's help'. The boys appreciate female absence as Ryan owes them a bachelor's party, but Javier's logical place as best man was already taken by the bride's teenage brother. Marino's partner Charlie Turner and his security expert Daniel Sullivan cooperative until the team gets close, linking the murder to the mob and employee Nadine Espinoza's disappearance. Turner throws the trio out, without recourse as it's outside NYPD jurisdiction, but Castles sneaks back in as Elvis impersonators. www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=1980768a99e3

You know, the first time I watched this episode I didn't much like it either, but I've seen it several times in repeats and have enjoyed it. It's one of the few episodes that I've changed my mind about after the original airing.

Thanks, Tycho! I think the main reason I didn't enjoy this episode that much is because Castle and Beckett weren't working together. Even though the 3 guys were fun, I always wanted to see the A Team together. I can see why the guys would have enjoyed the episode though. They each had a distinctly different take on the Elvis impersonation.

Here are a few quotes I wrote down from this episode:
Javie to Kate "You need to make being shot a strength not a weakness. It's just a hunk of metal"
Castle to Kate as she walked up to him "Waiting for my partner, she leaps tall building..."
Also noted that this episode was written by Alexi Haley. Too bad he didn't go back and look at how he was writing in season 4 when he became the showrunner.
