There are always lots of threads to each episode. I almost forgot about Kate's pregnancy. She is 37 so if she wants to be a mother time is ticking. I think Toby would be supportive of her. Her weight loss will have to be put on hold. I wonder if she will tell her Mom? It is sad that Rebecca wasn't able to have a better connection to her only daughter but then when she had such a bad relationship with her mother she probably didn't know how to change that for Kate? The showrunner talked in that article I posted about Kate and Kevin getting more focus this season, now we know Kate's story.

This is indeed a good show and fortunately is airing here in Portugal at the same time than there. They do have a good way to explore the subjects and each episode is quite emotional. I hope the good writing continues.

Last week I was too busy to post my thoughts about the episode but this week I want to do it right away! How many ways can I say - I LOVE THIS SHOW? The writing is stellar and the acting performances are incredible - in my humble opinion! Tonight was a wonderful example of the writing quality. We saw parallel stories of William facing a judge and Jack and Rebecca facing a judge. Though the issues were totally different, both judges were moved to an unusual action by what the people said and did. That brief scene towards the end that revealed the 2 judges telling each other that they'd taken a risk, was such a great way to button up both story lines. I also loved how they paralleled William being saved from going back to drugs by Randall's appearance with what's going on with Deja. Sterling North's acting throughout the several scenes in this story line, was fantastic and I love that he could bend and change when people called him out on his high and mighty attitude. While it's hard to watch, I do think that Kevin's character is very well acted too. His speech at Sophie's door was heart wrenching. I'm sure anxious to learn more about why he thinks he has nothing to give. And then there's Toby! He is such a GREAT actor and I dearly LOVE his character! I was a crying mess over his conversation with Jack's urn and then his proposal to Kate. I know that characters won't always be perfect, but he sure is knocking on it at the moment! So it looks like we'll get 3 new episodes, each focusing on one of the Big 3. That should fill in some gaps. They sure will have me coming back every week!

tycho657 or ProudTVJunkie - this thread, not sure if anyone noticed, is sitting in the Blindspot subforum. Should it be moved?

Well, so much for the first half of the season. It surely hasn't disappointed me in any way.
I didn't comment about last week's show - Number 2 - focusing on Kate and her pregnancy. From the get-go, I figured she'd miscarry and that they'd explore the emotion behind that experience. I thought they did a great job with it and was very pleasantly surprised that the tragedy brought about a new relationship between Kate and Rebecca. I continue to adore Toby's character and was especially impressed with his impassioned speech to Kate reminding her that he lost something too but that he would forever be there for her. For a guy who usually is the comic relief, he nailed that very emotional scene.
Tonight's episode, yet again, blew me away with the writing and acting. The way they dovetailed that old conversation between Randall and William with Randall needing to let go of Deja, was fantastic! The chemistry between Randall and Deja is also wonderful. Another great writing tie in was Jack's feelings after coming home from Vietnam and Randall's feelings as he tries to exist in a white world.
I swear, this show hits all the right notes for me in terms of REAL emotions that I can totally relate to. It's a masterpiece IMO!
