Firefly's 15th Anniversay

Yesterday was the 15th anniversary of the premiere of Firefly.

I didn't watch Firefly until the the second season of Castle was airing. The DVD set was on sale at Amazon for $11 which happened to be exactly the amount my husband needed at the time to push his total up to where he got free shipping on whatever else he was ordering. (Life before Amazon Prime.) We didn't open it for two months. Then it was New Year's Eve, we had an infant and I had a terrible cold, so our big plan was take-out Chinese and checking out Firefly.

I fell in love with it from the pilot and we binge watched the entire series in two day. I'm sort of glad I knew going in there was only one season because I'm sure I would have been devastated if I'd watched it on FOX and then it was cancelled.

Thanks this was a great article. Too bad they didn't get to include Nathan or Joss, they were probably busy.

I didn't see Firefly until years later either. It did air on the science channel a few years ago and I kept it on my DVR for a long time. I kept a couple of episodes in case I get a need to watch an episode.

I agree, that was a great article! I, too, first saw the show after I started watching Castle and searched out all of Nathan's previous works. It was love at first sight for me, as I LOVE shows that focus on character. Firefly had it in spades and I became a diehard promoter of the show.

I loved the comments from the cast, especially Nathan's. It's truly from the heart and is expressed so beautifully.

Someone put together a new video for the 15th anniversary of Firefly and it's making me want to go binge watch the series again, perhaps with my daughter this time.
