Super Chunky Blanket

Nathan tweeted this photo of his niece, and most people are enamored of the Firefly blanket but I was more interested in the chunky knit blanket on which she's sleeping.

Someone on the Fillion Forever site found this how-to video for making this type of blanket. They make it look so easy, I'd like to try it sometime.

ibmjas, Yes! It doesn't look cheap, but at some point when I can afford it, I'd really like to try this.

I love the idea of knitting, but my joints ache whenever I try it, but I'm pretty sure I can accomplish this, plus I love the look of it.
