Juliana Dever loves to travel, and writes her own travel blog. This time she's giving her recommendations about Paris restaurants. I've never been to Paris, but I hope to get there someday. Also, I thought with @kat's recent trip, she might be interested in this one. cleverdeverwherever.com/restaurants-in-paris-france/

HA! Awesome! Thanks for tagging me, Christine! I have to say, we did not eat in any of those mentioned in her blog, as we were on a budget. We took to eating at the sidewalk cafes or the market stores and ate while we walked, and we did not have one undesirable experience. We tried some different things, like "Nordic Pizza" in Montmarte, a pizza with Norwegian salmon and pesto, with a bottle of French red and it was terrific! The local pastries, crepes with fruits, and breads were divine and the fresh fruit was luscious. I truly think our food was under budget allowing us to splurge in terrific coffee shops. What we did splurge on was a nice hotel, and our breakfast that was included was not just a "continental breakfast", it was a FULL SPREAD including smoked salmon, omelettes/egg chef, all kinds of pastries/breads, yogurts, fruits, meats, cereals/grains, vegetables fresh and cooked, fresh squeezed juices, fancy water... wooden crates of fresh fruit of many varieties, personal jams and creams at every table... just magnificent! The breakfast set us up for the day very well. My most favorite treat was a fig tart! Just delectable! I'm sure if our budget would've allowed, we would've done our homework and chosen some more elite fare, but honestly, it was quite enjoyable just hanging on the sidewalk cafes for as long as we wanted. The service was fantastic and for speaking limited French, we did just fine. The common assumption that Parisians are rude is untrue. For us, anyway. We couldn't have had better service, more enjoyable food, and the coffee was excellent! The worst cup I had was the one time we had to make-do with a nearby Starbuck's. Meh. Can't believe they are even in Paris. Anyway, perhaps more than you bargained for in my reply, but I'm happy Juliana shares her adventures! Something for everybody! Will share a few Paris photos with you, if you don't mind. ... In the next post. Thanks for prompting me to share, Christine! I can't wait to return to Paris! Completely enthralled with all that it is! And the Eiffel... no words!
