Just for fun, I'm posting TV Line's latest blind item. These things used to stress me out when Castle was on the air, but now I just find them fun. "Rumor has it that an hour-long drama series on one of the Big 5 broadcast networks is poised to kill off one of its most popular characters (an original series regular), while tacking on a time-tripping twist" in the season premiere." Apparently it's one of these nine shows: The Exorcist, The Blacklist, Supergirl, Blindspot, Scorpion, Designated Survivor, NCIS, Scandal, Elementary. Here's the entire post: tvline.com/2017/07/14/blind-item-ausiello-character-death-drama-series-premiere/Feel free to speculate on your guess of which show, and which character!

My guess is Mark Harmon from NCIS. I see the series fading to a close this year. There were rumors about his health. You know how rumors are...probably just that.

I'm going to rule out Supergirl and Scorpion because this type of dark storyline just doesn't feel like it would go along with these more light-hearted shows.
I hope it's not anyone on NCIS, especially not Mark Harmon, that would be too sad. I was relieved they didn't kill off Tony when Michael Weatherly chose to leave the show. I've heard rumors that it could be Ducky (once again, just a rumor) and I hope not because I've always liked Ducky.
Shonda Rhimes is known for these type of twists, so Scandal shouldn't be ruled out. They also like their time jumps, and it is the show's final season so anything goes.
Designated Survivor has only been on for one season, but I suppose it is possible.
Blindspot and The Blacklist are certainly possibilities but I don't know which character they'd choose to kill off or why.
I've never watched Elementary or The Exorsist, so I can't really comment.

David. McCallen, "Ducky", will turn 84 on Sept 19. It would make sense for him to retire. His apprentice now has his Dr. degree. David was a real star in the Man from U.N.C.L.E. one of my first much watch TV shows. He still looks amazingly well.

Like ProudTVJunkie, I think it's very funny...now that it's not about Castle anymore! But IT CAN'T BE about Mark Harmon, neither David McCallen. It's absolutely impossible! I think it'll be pretty much the end of the series. THEY ARE, both of them, NCIS! And it'll be too hard after Michael Weatherly's leaving! I've never watched The Exorcist, Supergirl or Designated Survivor. I'm not watching anymore Scandal, Scorpion or The Blacklist, so...I don't care (sorry for those who are watching!) I'm still watching Elementary, and I'm waiting for Blindspot second season's broadcasting here in France (yes, I know, we are late!!!) But PLEASE, not NCIS !!!!
