Star Trek. They are spoofing many things from that show.

Penny will be at the San Diego Comic Con for "The Orville".
Some pictures of the serie reminds me "The final frontier" episode, and Nebula 9!

Very true, nathanaddict! I know many people didn't care for the Final Frontier episode but it was one of my favorites! The summer following that season some of us were in LA for the Castle Con and Red Carpet Luke appeared in one of the Nebula 9 space suits. It was a hoot. |

"the Orville" premier is tomorrow, Sunday on FOX after football so the time might vary depending on your time zone. I just programmed it to record.

How fun was that? We were both laughing and enjoying this show. Penny plays the ship doc with experience. Most of the crew members are young and don't really have much experience.
The way they took out the bad guys was a hoot. Did not think I would ever see a ________(spoiler) take out an alien ship.

I also watched the premier and it was OK but I doubt that I'll be a regular. It seemed to me that the humor was just a constant stream of one liners. They were funny for a while but I got kind of tired of them by the end. I do hope it does well for Penny's sake. She seems to be a lovely person and I had a good laugh with her when I met her in LA.
