Molly Quinn was in this movie?? My husband and I both noticed Molly Quinn listed when the credits rolled at the end. I don't see her even list this movie on her ImDb. She must have been in make up as I never noticed her in the scene she was in. Fun movie like the first one. Kurt Russell was great as the Dad. They threw in a few more old action heroes along the way. Be sure and sit thru the credits. Marvel does this now on all of their movies. They keep putting in little extras as the credits roll. I loved the Groot as a teen scene. Stan Lee said this was his favorite cameo in any movie so far. You have to wait until the very end to see this scene.
I liked that they didn't go dark for this franchise. It is more enjoyable to see fun on the screen than evil darkness for me. The "Star Lord" never takes himself too seriously and he is true to his "family".
Did anyone else see this movie?

Hi everyone! Tycho as I won't be seeing this until it hits the small screen, can you confirm that Nathan was nowhere to be seen as Simon Williams aka "Wonder Man"? Thanks. B.

Nope, Nathan was not seen anywhere. I was looking for a movie poster with that picture that was posted. Didn't see it. I think maybe Nathan might have a shot at the next movie as the bad guy, "Adam"?

We saw the movie and Nathan was not in it, or mentioned in the credits.

tycho657, I'm hoping to see it, just don't know when I'll find the time. Sometimes I head out to an early movie on Mother's Day but I'm not sure if I'm going to do that this year. But Guardians and Wonder Woman are on my list.

I just saw GotG2. It was great! I've always been a Kurt Russell fan and he was great too. I loved that they made him look young again in his backstory. And how can you not love baby Groot? He's so adorable with those big brown eyes. No Nathan, but James Gunn is going to do GotG3 so hopefully he will have a spot for Nathan - a really good spot. BTW, how in the world did Trump get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame before Russell? Really, how did he get a star at all??

When Kurt was on GMA he said that he put on some cream that he used for the younger scene and they only had to touch up his face a little bit. They were amazed how he still looks so good. As for the star...you can buy a star if you have lots of $$. I'm sure he just bought the star for himself.

tycho657 and ibmjas, Those stars seem to be more about publicity than about talent. I believe you have to lobby and go through a nomination process. There are several stars who, surprisingly, don't have one such as Robert DeNiro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Douglas, George Lucas, Al Pacino, Michael Keaton, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Redford, Denzel Washington. Some fans made a makeshift star for Carrie Fisher after she died. Sean Connery, Julia Roberts and Clint Eastwood are some of the stars who have declined to go through the process to be a part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

If you walk around Hollywood blvd looking at who has stars it is surprising who you see and who you don't. The top people get their hand prints in front of the Grumman (so)Theater. My favorite was the horse hoof print of Roy Rogers horse Trigger. There are many of the top movie stars there.

Yes, my daughter wants to go and see John Wayne's hand and boot prints because she loves the I Love Lucy episode he appeared in. And back to GotG2 discussion, for what age would you say it is appropriate? I have to do more research before I decide, but I know some of my daughter's friends are going to see it, and of course, she's asking to go too.

There is no sex or nudity. I don't think the fighting is upsetting. I think your daughter would focus a lot on what Groot is up to, just as the camera often follows Groot as he is oblivious to the fighting going on around him.

Tycho, geezer - thanks for confirmation that Nathan is not in the movie. I wonder what happened to that character? Tycho as much as I love the superhero movies, I don't consider myself a fan as I have never read the comics. The only "Adam" that I think I've heard of is Black Adam and I believe that he is the villain for Shazam which is DC and not Marvel. ibmjas - I think my favorite Kurt Russell is Soldier. Doesn't matter how often that movie is shown, I find myself watching. Baby Groot is most definitely adorable. Who could not love his dance at the end of the 1st movie? My favorite character though is Rocket - a raccoon with attitude, who knew! B.

1lincoln40 I think Guardians has been a success because you don't have to be a comic fan to enjoy it. It doesn't take itself too seriously. I have never read any of the comics that go to these characters. Baby groot was very fun. After the movie ends Marvel always adds some extras . They have groot as a teen driving the Star Lord character crazy.
