Most people think of NYC for Christmas, but it's also really beautiful for Easter. My mother, daughter and I spent a day this week wandering through Manhattan. Here are some photos... The giant twirling bunny at Rockefeller Center: There's still ice skating, just no giant tree... St. Patrick's Cathedral is across the street. No matter your religion, the architecture is amazing...

We love the french carousel or "Le Carrousel" at Bryant Park. It is always a favorite... And of course, there were flowers everywhere... Hope all who celebrate have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Oh! I see this as the 2017 Easter thread! Nothing down here in Dallas. I was at a seafood restaurant yesterday eating 1.5 lbs of snow crab legs. The original order comes with 1 lb or you can order 1.5 or 2 lbs. I had a great time using a scooper, lobster pliar, napkins, and unsweetened ice tea with lemons. Lots of work. Been 2-3 years since I ate this. Includes broccoli and asparagus and a simple side salad, no cheese. I said no dressing but yes after they offered extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar. Lobster meat dipped in oil. No bread nor dessert for me. 😊
Happy Easter to all and to all a good day!!!

java, you're making me very, very hungry. I love lobster, but I won't turn down any shellfish. Yesterday we had the big Easter egg hunt here in town. This morning the Easter bunny must have been here because my daughter's basket was filled with books, kids' magazines, a new nightgown (and one of her doll) and some candy. Thankfully my daughter is more excited about the books than the candy, although she did eat four Peeps in a row before realizing that it wasn't her best choice pre-breakfast!

Crab & lobster... yes please! We had the traditional ham & turkey, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, and the like. Watermelon & strawberry shortcake for dessert. Our house is situated at the front of our neighborhood. Right across the street to the entrance of our neighborhood is a church. On Sunday mornings, any time it's mild enough for our bedroom window to be open, I wake to the early Sunday service church bells either at the beginning or ending of the service. It's quite wonderous. On this beautiful Easter morning I woke to "Christ the Lord is Risen Today".... made my heart happy. Here's a few pics of our holiday table. On holidays I do up the dining room. It's different every time. I wing it. lol... I enjoy beautiful things, and using them. Which is often. Whether there's a holiday or not. Every day is special. java has reminded me to never forget that. A major blessing today is that he is still with us! Regardless if you celebrate or not, I hope you enjoyed this day, whatever it may have brought!

Kat, after seeing your pictures I definitely feel like an underachiever! Everything looks beautiful! Nah, we're all different. What that means is you now have a source of knowledge to achieve a similar outcome. Now is your chance to change a part of your life! Learn, learn, learn -> achieve! 👍

Awww, IBM, it's just how I roll. It's my creative outlet. I enjoy decorating for holidays very much. And trust me, there are times when we use paper plates and sit all around the family room with card tables or our laps as the table. We all have our things we do well and enjoy. I suck at computer stuff. I'm sure you'd outdo me any old day on that! All good. Thank you for your kind words, just the same!
