We watched the final episode. This is a series I actually stopped watching after the first few years when they refused to get Bones and Booth together using poor excuses. After not watching for a couple of seasons I did return. Back then I hoped that Hart would take some hints from Andrew on how to write a relationship. Maybe he did but then Andrew went down the ABC rabbit 🐰 hole and never came back. Every time I see a series end where they give them a "final season" to finish up I lament that Castle was never given the chance. I was afraid when we got the bombs going off that we would lose people in the end. I was glad they chose not to do that to us. I was wondering why I kept seeing tweets about Hodgins being "King of the Lab"? Now that I have seen the final it makes sense. They did leave it open for a movie down the road. That is what I was hoping for for Castle but now I doubt if we will ever see them again. I enjoyed how they ended Bones.

Strange "T" as I did the same thing. Sounds like I hung in there a little longer than you did. I stopped watching after season 3 or 4 because of being jerked around. AND, I too started back again, I believe, after seeing the missing episodes on TNT. Since I could watch 4 or 5 a day, I was brought up to speed quickly and did not have to go through those years of angst. LOLOL.... THANKFULLY. I have watched ever since and have really enjoyed the series. Again, it goes against that old falsehood of a series death by relationship. The writers did a nice job after Boothe and Bones were a couple.
The finale was well thought out and very good. A proper ending for the loyal followers. It only highlights the beauty of finishing off a terrific series with a reward for the fans. Same held true for Rizzoli and Isles. Nicely done.
I am finally 3/4 of the way through the Castle finale. I have had a difficult time watching this last episode given all the rancor that fans experienced the last 2 seasons. Its almost time to finish watching and buy the last season DVD. Wonderful entertainment until it went off the rails. Still, I loved Castle so many years I try to overlook the less than stellar years.

I also stopped watching Bones because it felt like the relationship between Booth and Brennan had completely stalled. I started watching again when Brennan became pregnant with Christine. I never liked how they got together, but once they did become a couple I thought the show got a lot better.
Bones always gave more time to the background stories of all of its characters, thus giving its two stars more time off so that they didn't burn out over 12 seasons. It also let us see everyone hanging out together in more social settings as both friends and colleagues, which was always enjoyable.
Castle was always my favorite show, but in the end, Bones gave their fans wonderful story and a satisfying ending.

Messed up and forgot to DVR it. I'll have to watch last couple of epis when time allows. We were fans and liked the show. Bones had the longevity that I wanted and BELIEVED Castle would have til it all went down the toilet. LOL but guess I am still ticked about what happened.
