This episode was written by Alexi Hawley. We are introduced to Becketts training officer Mike Royce ( Jason Beghe). He is the lead in the TV show Chicago PD now. It was nice to get a peek into the history of Beckett. www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=1fefd9ae99c9

This episode really showcased the show's ability to swing from raw emotion to LOL humor. I remember being gutted by Kate's emotional phone call from Royce and also cracking up over the graveside scene where everyone pulled guns on everyone else. How is it that Alexi could write such great stories early on and then destroy the series when he was in charge? ?? Thanks again for the weekly puzzles, Tycho!

Nathanfan1 I was thinking the same thing about Alexi. That is why I noted that he had written this episode.

Uummm, I like the part where Beckett's trying to get a peek at that manly bum of Castle's under those torn jeans. heh.
Also, the shirt Castle's wearing in that scene - the white and light blue stripe - remains one of my favorites of his from the entire series.

Ditto on the shirt, Kat. It's such a shame Luke didn't vary Castle's wardrobe more.
