Nathan Fillion to guest star on Brooklyn Nine-Nine

This is interesting as Nathan tweeted when Castle was cancelled that he would be doing very different characters than we saw on Castle when he returned. Guess you take the paycheck and just go with the flow right?
I've never watched this show. What is it about? Does anyone watch it?

I've never watched it but I know some people who enjoy it. It's a comedy on FOX that's in its fourth season. Here's the general summary:

Detective Jake Peralta, a talented and carefree cop with the best arrest record, has never had to follow the rules too closely or work very hard. That changes when Ray Holt, a man with a lot to prove, becomes the new commanding officer of Brooklyn's 99th precinct. As Holt reminds Peralta to respect the badge, an extremely competitive colleague -- Detective Amy Santiago -- starts to close in on the hotshot cop's arrest record.

I think Nathan is just having some fun doing guest spots on different comedies. It probably helps TV audiences not forget about him while he's off traveling and doing other projects.

I wonder if they had Nathan give them some ideas for this guest spot. The wearing of gloves happened in season one but was soon something that Castle didn't do at crime scenes. It even got him accused of murder in an episode. Too fun that he ended up being the criminal in their case.
