www.tvfanatic.com/2016/11/florence-henderson-dies-the-brady-bunch-mom-was-82/Florence Henderson died of heart failure late Thursday night. She was recently seen on Dancing With the Stars to root on her TV daughter Maureen McCormack. My 7-year-old has just started watching reruns of The Brady Bunch, which has been fun for me since it was one of my favorites as a young child. Do you have a favorite The Brady Bunch episode? I've always rather loved the pilot episode where Mike and Carol get married. The cat (whom we never see again) gets lose and Tiger (the dog) chases her over the guests laps, ending with Mike trying and failing to save the wedding cake. Then the kids end up going on the honeymoon. It always makes me smile. Rest in peace Florence. You brought joy to multiple generations of TV viewers.

I grew up without an TV, but have memories of seeing the odd episode of the Brady Bunch here and there. The one I remember most vividly is the one where Marsha gets kissed on the cheek by Davey Jones of the Monkees (I think) and says, "I will never wash this cheek again." Reminds me of castlekat and her "Nathan" sweater. :-)

Listening to the review this morning on GMA of her life, its looks like she was very active and loving life right up to the end. She was on Dancing with the Stars a couple of years ago and this last season her daughter was on I think? I don't watch that show. I use to catch the last minute as I waited for Castle.

It was her TV daughter, Maureen McCormack who played Marcia Brady. It sounds like Florence was on the set of DWTS to support her just last week.

Such fond memories of The Brady Bunch and Florence Henderson. I always liked her short hairstyle.
I had a lot of favorite episodes, but I remember getting really excited for the Grand Canyon episodes. They went on a road trip in the station wagon, got locked in jail and stranded in a ghost town (by Mr. Howell from Gilligan's Island) and then Bobby and Cindy got lost in the Grand Canyon. It all seemed so exciting when I was a kid.
