I watched the premiere of Conviction on Monday night. I was interested in the show mainly because of Hayley Atwell; I really liked her as Agent Carter so wanted to see her in this new show. It was actually pretty good. Her character is rather flawed, and quite a change from Agent Carter, but she did a really great job. And the show itself was good as well. I will probably watch a least a few more episodes to see how it goes.

Sadly, it appears that this show is not going to get beyond this first half of the TV season. ABC has announced that they are not ordering any more episodes past the original 13. They are retaining the right to order a second season, but I'd guess that's a long shot at best, and will only happen if all of the mid-season shows flop and they don't get anything to replace it with next fall.

Hi everyone
So far I have enjoyed the first 2 episodes and I am looking forward to what would appear to be the final episodes. I did think as I got to the first break in the pilot episode that despite the fact that I liked it, I didn't see it making it as a series and then I read about the 13 episodes and a maybe.
Although Hayley plays the main character, you learn something about all the team. I like Sam's ambition, Maxine as the ex-cop, Manny the ex-con with the boyfriend, Tess and the wrongful conviction. I am most interested to know why Hayes is such a mess. What event is she trying to forgot? Also for some reason when I saw Bess Armstrong I kept thinking Dame Julie Andrews! I am certainly looking forward to see how it progresses.

Just wanted to say that I am really going to miss this series because I am enjoying it. I liked the fact that we have had a case where a mother refused to be released from jail because her daughter had committed the crime and she wanted her daughter to have a life.
I am curious to know whether this will end on a cliffhanger that may never be resolved.

My thoughts on this series has not changed and I am still going to miss it. Even though Hayley may have been the 'name', this for me is definitely a team effort. Everyone has a purpose, everyone has been given a backstory and are allowed to grow with every episode, at least for me.
