I've always liked Modern Family, although I think the humor has been on a significant downslide the last two season. More silly sex jokes and less family humor. We'll see where it goes this season. I must admit that Nathan's character's name doesn't give me high hopes, but I'll still be watching.

It doesn't sound promising and it's just 3 episodes. I wish it was a more serious and permanent role. But maybe Nathan is looking for smaller things right now.

This will be a good role for him... He will steal the show because he is a nurd at heart and he is a good actor and Everyone Loves Nathan Fillion. I wonder what he is up to in this Arc...
This is a very well written show and I am sure they will have us rolling on the floor laughing with Fillions antics...perfect role to get back into the swing of things... Sounds like a kick back from ABC for destroying his show.

Looks like Nathan's first episode of Modern Family airs on Wednesday, Oct. 12th. Titled: "Weathering Heights" Season 8 Episode 4 There have been several commercials tonight showing a couple of scenes from tomorrow night's episode. In one shot, his character is introducing himself; looks like it might be kind of a doofus type character. In the other brief shot, his character is shown kissing Haley Dunphy. Which is kind of creepy, imo. |

Yes, I'm so sorry. I've been traveling this week to meet my new niece and I didn't have the chance to post that Nathan's story arc on Modern Family began last night. I haven't even had the chance to see it yet and probably won't until next week but I'd love to hear what others thought of his appearance.

I'm happy to provide a couple of pics from the episode! He looked awesome! I know that's he's probably the most fit he's been in years but I also think the wardrobe people on Modern Family did a great job of dressing him in a suit that fits well. This was the first of 2 or 3 appearances I think. I don't watch Modern Family so I don't know the characters' names, but Nathan plays this weatherman who is the idol of the dad. The daughter is a makeup artist I think and that's why she's on set. Over a beer later, the dad inadvertently gives Nathan his daughter's phone #, thinking it's for professional reasons, and Rainer wants it so he can ask her out. It's pretty funny when Rainer and the daughter are caught kissing at the front door! Nathan is perfect for this role! He's a bit cheesy and - of course - worried about his hair.  But he's a good guy and genuinely wants to be friends with the dad.   |
