Here's my interview with Susan. She talks about the end of Castle, her current play, Steel Magnolias, and her Unsolicited Advice. I was hoping to get to do this interview in person as she's not far from me while doing the play but I don't think she was feeling up for that so we did the interview over the phone. She seems like a lovely person and is a lot of fun to speak with. I hope you enjoy the interview as much as I did our conversation. www.tvfanatic.com/2016/06/susan-sullivan-talks-the-end-of-castle-steel-magnolias-and-her-u/

Thanks for this, Christine! How fun for you to be able to interview her. Your questions were good and I liked hearing her answers. I wish her the best in whatever she does after this.

Great questions, Christine! I get the feeling she might be starting to feel her age and be looking to slow down a bit.

I bet she was a lot of fun to speak with. Loved her answers and the conversational way she talked about things.
Is there any way any of the more technically knowledgeable people could post her daily unsolicited advice tweets here? I think it would be fun to see what she has to say. If it's anything like Martha, it would be a hoot.

Wonderful interview! Great questions and her answers were interesting. I wonder if she was hurt in her car accident or if it just made her realize that she should not be driving LA freeways? I think she has done well with the money she has earned over the years as she has a place in LA, NYC and now the cottage. Hopefully Molly took some pointers from Susan on how to have a career and watching your money?

LOVE this interview. I can't believe she hasn't driven on a freeway since season 4! That's a long time. Can you even get anywhere in LA without getting on the freeways? Are the roads where she's doing the play more like country roads or suburbs? You'd think with the famous actresses involved it would be a fairly large theater.

Christine, your interview drew some attention! A Twitter account that I check daily for Nathan info that goes under the name of Bam Said The Lady, quoted one of your questions and answers. Unfortunately, she didn't credit you though.

The theatre is surprisingly small. It's been around for a long time but it closed down in 2010 due to disrepair until they got an influx of funding. It looks like an old brick barn but it's now a nice theater. There was a bar on the deck in the back that overlooked the river and that's where everyone went during intermission. It's very scenic. I can see how she could pass right by the theatre. I almost did. And the parking lot is so small! I thought I could get there early and park but the lot was already packed. I think I passed Susan in her Prius pulling into one of the few reserved spots. I actually had to pay the $20 to valet park or risk missing the show. New Hope is just over the NJ/Pennsylvania border and right on the Delaware river. Those are definitely curvy, country roads around there, other than one highway nearby. The town is very pretty and a busy tourist attraction on the weekends with lots of small shops, art studios, and restaurants. It's also pretty eclectic. You can go antiquing, shop for art or clothes or go to a magic shop and have a psychic reading. There's several nice restaurants and some night spots. I hear it's also got an active LGBT community. Other than going to the play, I haven't spent much time in New Hope in over ten years but I'm hoping to go back for an afternoon with my husband and daughter soon.
