This is a good overview on why some shows are canceled and others hang on. Looks like the networks are looking for more than rating now. Castle has a lot of extra revenue attached to it with TNT reruns, Heat and Storm books, marvel graphic novel s of Storm. Also the cast and crew doing live tweeting draws in people. I hunk Castle was one of the first to do this? Here is the article: www.spoilertv.com/2015/05/the-state-of-network-television-article.html?m=1Sent from my SCH-I605 using proboards

Very interesting indeed. It does bode well for Castle. I know it's very popular in foreign markets and the books and cards are very popular too.

Hi, this is a very interesting perspective and in this respect I think Castle is way above other shows. I mean, what other shows have books to sell worldwide to increase their revenue? And I have read all Nikki Heat books and found them all wonderful. I wonder who writes them and if abc also managed to renew his/her contract :-)
