Thought it would be nice to start a thread to post anything you love and have loved about Castle through the years. Something/ things you will always remember, why Castle brought you joy....All positive, no negative, please. Can be quotes, artwork, fan-vids, episodes, photos, screen caps...anything goes, as long as it is something that holds a special place in your heart, because you just like it, or it gives you nostalgic feelings.... you get the idea. Anything. If you want to explain about what/why you post something, great. If not, no need. Just a place to express. I'll start.

Going to share what I said on facebook. Tomorrow night is the series finale of my beloved show, CASTLE. I just want to say, that in all my life, I've never been invested in a work of fiction such as this. I hardly ever used to watch TV. I couldn't tell you what was on and when. It just wasn't my thing. But something about this show, on that fateful Monday night years ago, I just turned on the TV. It was a little after 10:00 p.m. and I said to Ernest, let's just see what's on. He turned to ABC and from the second I looked at the screen I thought, and said aloud to hubs, "This looks kinda cute..." and the rest is history. Because of Castle I have learned that there were/are online forums where people chat about TV shows, I learned the curious word, "shipper" and what that meant, I learned how it feels, other than loving Celine Dion since I was a teen, to become part of a passionate fandom, and I have learned that not everyone you talk to/"meet" on the internet is a bad person with ill motives. I've learned that some people just want to talk about similar interests in a safe environment, and that some people who are at home without a large family or a support system need people, too. I have learned what it feels like to fly across the nation to meet people in person I've talked to for years, and how it feels to meet kindred spirits I never would've known had it not been for Castle. I have learned what it feels like to meet a celebrity - talk to them face to face/look them in the eye, shake their hand, and hug them. I've learned the excitement of being in L.A. and what it feels like to be in another room with hundreds of PASSIONATE fans, to learn about the production, costuming, cast selection, directing ... so much of what goes into a TV show. I learned that actors are people too, and really do enjoy meeting their fandoms. I've learned to be brave.... the adventure that is out there if you would only let yourself have courage enough to experience the unknown and overcome your fear. That the view from the other side really is astounding. I've grown as a person because of Kate Beckett, and I have Stana Katic to thank for that. She was an inspiration to me as a strong woman with flaws, who portrayed her character with brilliance. That is it in the continued trying and refusing to give up that leads to victory of every kind. That it's okay to have a bad day, but it's not a bad life. And to let people love you through times when you don't like yourself. And Nathan Fillion never ceased to make me laugh. The 12-year old on a sugar rush... it's a beautiful thing. To keep your child-like wonder can be amazing. I have felt so much joy because of Castle. However...never, ever, could that compare with the incredible friendships I have known because of it. I could say so much more in tribute to Castle, about the characters, the cases of the week, the story/character development, the briliant directing by Rob Bowman, the settings, quotes, the grand love story that will last through the ages, but really, my take-away... never say never. I have loved letting life find me in oh, so many ways. I'm beyond thankful for all of it. It's been a great run. Til tomorrow............................

I learned that its okay to be scared. the hardest things in life are the things most worth doing. That other people from all walks of life aren't always out to kill us in our sleep. So putting everything I learned into my everyday life, has panned out. For years I have limited myself and was afraid to step outside of my comfort zone.
By traveling to Philly which I thought I would never do...it was fun and I met other fans of the show. Also by incorporating what this show has taught me, I am now working for a fortune 500 company in there Finance Dept.
So with that I owe this show a lot.

I won't be as eloquent as castlekat and I'm at work on my phone so hope this works. First attempt didn't. LOL This is what started it all for me. Sure I had been watching since S1E1 but this, this little nugget led to me search out all things Castle on the interwebs, leading to the ABC message boards and the beginning of my OCD. Once there, I came across a rather ingenious ratings analysis and second-by-second description of "The Kiss" by our very own resident Castle, Arky. It was the best thing ever! Being a part of this fandom led me to some wonderful friends who have brought me such joy over the years that I didn't even know I was missing in my life. For that I will "Always" be grateful. I learned that it is quite fun to step out of your comfort zone at times. Never in my wildest dreams would I have said I would have flown halfway across the country, to DC, to spend 2 days with a fellow board member whom I had not met face to face, or have dinner with another one, or take off on a road trip to Missouri last summer to spend a long weekend with a whole gaggle of ladies (and one very patient, sweet and accommodating husband) I had yet to meet in person. I'm eternally grateful for Castle and for all y'all!

A few more for the road. I wish I knew who to give credit to for this because I love it so much and are words to live by: And because I will always have a soft spot for their vests:

My Castle journey has been very similar to Castlekat's, only it started on the night of the premier, but her words reflect so much of how I feel also.
My hubby and I were just reflecting on the impact Castle has had on our lives over dinner Friday night. One of the most remarkable aspects for me was having the courage to fly to LA twice, joining board friends and strangers in the excitement of meeting the people involved in the show. I learned so much and created some of the most treasured memories.
The show also brought Fan Fiction into my life. I never knew such a thing existed and I have come to dearly love many of the stories about my favorite couple and their world. Reviewing stories brought even more friends into my life. One of these special women died of cancer 2 years ago and I was blessed to have her in my life for 3 years before that happened. The other special woman is our own Christine! She hooked me with her stories and has become one of my closest friends.
I must mention the Castle music videos too! I so admire and appreciate the people who have so beautifully blended scenes from the show with appropriate music. There's nothing that lifts my spirits more than watching some of those videos and I've added so many great songs to my personal playlist thanks to hearing them first with a video.
Most valuable of all are the friends that have come into my life because of Castle. From the ABC board, to Chicago, to LA, to Toledo, to St. Louis to right here at PFJ, every step of the way wonderful people have enriched my life and I am profoundly thankful for it all.

I can only echo what has been said here by all of you. This show has brought so many wonderful people into my life, and for that I will "Always" be thankful.
And CF40, that quote ( which I also have in my signature here ) is from episode 5.03. It's what Kate told Castle when she was explaining about the stick figure she made from driftwood that she picked up as she and her dad walked along the beach after her mom's funeral.

Just love Number One Fan. When it started with the bedroom scene when Kate asked Castle if he was still sleeping and how nervous she was for him when he had to go inside where the hostages were. I also liked the episode when Kate threw the surprise birthday party for Castle. There are so many good memories am glad I have the DVDs so I can watch all my favorite episodes whenever I feel like it.
