i don't know if anyone noticed but they let Rob Duncan use a real orchestra for some episodes,( maybe all episodes?) this season. I saw pictures before the season started with the recording studio orchestra. I just saw another picture for the last episode where they used the studio orchestra. I love that they have given Rob the option to use more than what he can create in his studio but, if they are having budget problems why would they expand the music budget so much? That has to be expensive to rent the studio, pay live musicians, and then mix and insert the live music?

Because they aren't having budget problems. They never did. A good sales team could have taken care of the budget problems. But no one wants to spend money for an inferior product. Welcome to Castle season 8. Season 9 will be using old elevator music mixed from 37 year old reel to reel tape machines. And Rick will now be driving an old beat up 1991 Buick Station Wagon with 337,000 miles on it. Esposito's new car is a remnant from the old show "Car 54 Where are YOu?" . And all booze is now being bought from that liquor store that everyone goes to after they get their paycheck. You play your lottery ticket numbers there too. Who knows, maybe some executive gets lucky, wins $500 and can pay for the props for the episode 1 for season 9. Hawley and Winter promised all the actors a new buffet as well filled with 5 day old fish sandwiches and microwaved hamburgers from Mickey Dees. Hawley was quoted as saying, "Now that's a Satisfying and Fun Meal" Does Luke get to go to the Salvation Army for Wardrobe? Sorry....can't stop.....

Think of all the money they will save on Beckett's wardrobe. Castle only has 2 blue shirts to wear and they already shop at Salvation Army for Alexis.
