I grew up on Prince and I find the death of this one-of-a-kind artist incredibly sad. A friend shared this video with me. It's from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne, Prince, and George Harrison's son, Dhani Harrison playing the Beatles song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." Part of what I find amazing is that Prince admitted that he'd never even heard the song before it was sent to him to learn for the performance. His guitar solo near the end is nothing short of amazing, not just the music he plays but the pure enjoyment he seems to feel in playing it. A true talent that will be missed. *It seems wrong to post anything concerning music and leave our dear java out of the conversation. He's been MIA because of some medical issues. I hope he's able to come back and visit us here at PFJ soon. We miss him.

One of the best covers of Purple Rain I've heard....Adam Levine and Patrick Monahan at Howard Stern's birthday bash in 2014.
