Future of A Possiblity For Joy

To Everyone Here at PFJ,
Well, we’ve had one hell of a week. I never, ever thought that this would come to pass. That ABC would tell an amazing actress that she was no longer needed as the star of their hit show. That we’d be facing a Castle without Caskett.
But at least we have each other and I need to tell you all how proud I am of everyone here. While many fans have gotten downright nasty on Twitter and other boards, we’ve managed to be civil to one another and those involved in the show. To be honest, I’ve come to expect nothing less from the amazing fans who have joined PFJ. Still, I feel I should say thank you for proving that people can be good and kind even when the circumstances turn miserable.
Several people have asked about the future of this board. Here’s the deal…
-PFJ will remain open. No matter what happens with Castle, life will always have the possibility for joy and the friends I’ve made through this fandom have brought that to me. I see no reason to shut us down because the people at ABC are idiots. Heck, we may need one another more than ever to help grieve our loss.
-IF there is a Castle season 9 there will be a section for it here. I personally don’t plan to watch but I respect those who choose to and will make space for viewing parties, episode discussions, etc.
-IF the show is canceled or for those of us who chose to stop watching, there are still seven wonderful seasons to discuss and a couple of decent episodes from season 8. There are fan fiction stories and fan videos to share. There will also be future projects with the actors we’ve grown to love.
For all those reasons, PFJ will remain open and I hope you all stick around.
If you have any suggestions for new topics, possible viewing parties, games/trivia…pretty much anything at all, feel free to message me privately or put it out to the board for discussion. I may make a suggestion thread if that helps.
