Puzzle Toki

The last surviving orca from the horrific capture back in the early 70’s from Puget sound died this week. She was know as Lolita in Florida but her native people called her Toki. Her mother is still alive and part of the L pod. After she died there was a “super pod” gathering on San Juan Island by all 3 of the southern resident pods. I saw 2 of these super pods on San Juan Island. It is amazing to see so many orcas gather. Somehow they knew that they had lost one of there family. They were months away from flying her back to her home waters. 
This was put up by someone doing a tribute to Toki. It shows the newest members of the family swimming with her free at last.
