The number for the Top 25 markets is not good. Castle did .9 in the demo. NCIS LA did 1.2 and Blindspot 2.0. Hopefully, the full market numbers will be better.

Thought I had posted the early numbers, but I don't see them. Anyway, the final numbers for Castle were a 1.0 in the demo and 6.07 million viewers. Blindspot did 2.2/7.67 and NCIS LA did 1.3/7.91. No sugar coating it, these are not great. While the demo slip is not that big, it is over 600k fewer viewers. Demo is always more important but still a bummer.

Maybe the L+7 will put the demo right back at 2.0 like it has been on every episode this season?

I think the lower numbers are just a reflection of more and more people giving up on the show. In my humble opinion, I feel live viewers and the demo are the most important numbers because those people are the ones who have to watch the ads. The +3 and +7 can just bypass the commercials which, I'm sure, does not make the network happy. It appears that Castle is just dying a slow death in S8 and TPTB do not care.

Thank you castle88 for keeping us informed about the ratings. I look forward to your post every tuesday. I also hope we can rise to 2.0 in the L7. These ratings are getting a bit scary, as I guess they are important for a renewal. But I also think the networks cannot ignore the L7 ratings. For instance, in my case, I live in another country and I don't watch castle live on the day that it is broadcasted. I record it and save it to watch with my husband in the weekend, it's one of our favourite programmes for saturday or sunday nights :-). I don't feel bad because we don't count for these ratings but I imagine there might be a lot of people there like us who are followers of the show but are not refleted in those ratings. Also, as we have a three episode delay here, I also usually watch it before alone online on tuesdays, and that doesn't count for ratings either.
