What I can see happening here is that this is the only way Kate can make it sound at the 12th she and Castle have separated. She could be watched or maybe their is a mole. It looks like in the pics from the episode that someone holds Castle and his family at gun point. I wonder what Kate will do then?

So maybe the first sneak peak is hilarious, but that second is a stab you in the back and twist it out and then pour salt in the wound moment.

I don't doubt  it leads to a very emotional scene later in the episode, but whether they hit the sheets or she just comes and goes, I think If I was Castle, I would have separation papers waiting for her to sign the second the she sashayed in the door.  There are just so many times you can kick someone in the teeth until they all fall out.   How can you live with yourself stabbing the one person who loves you unconditionally in the heart over and over and over. She is cold and calculating. And I am not going to say witchy....but well on her way to it. And she needs some of her own medicine.She just portrays this character that just doesn't give a damn about anything but herself and that just is not the Beckett we know. No matter what happened, she always wanted Rick to the point where it drove her away from Boyfriends, doctors, etc. THIS PROTECTION CRAP IS PURE GARBAGE. IF THEY WANTED CASTLE DEAD....HE'ED BE DEAD. STOP WITH THIS DWEEBY, UNDERACHIEVING, MELANCHOLY STORYLINE. IT SUCKS.

I am  so down on this show......jeez.....WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?  I AM PULLING FOR CASTLE TO TURN THE TABLES ON HER....AND IN A BIG WAY. PUT YOUR BIG BOY PANTS ON CASTLE....YOU NEED TO SHOW HER WHAT'S WHAT.

BAM!  Said the K-man.  I agree.  Kick her a** to the curb and don't let her come crawling back for a good long while.  TPTB are really doing a fantastic job at making Beckett very unlikeable right now, at least for me.

WOW guys. cut her some slack! None us know where this is going and hopefully she has a very good reason for all this nonsense. If you recall, before Stana signed, she had a meeting with the new showrunners. If she didn't approve of the direction her character was going, do you think she would have signed? All the cast seemed to be pleased so maybe we just have to give it a chance. We have a long way to go before it's over.

Just for the record, my feelings about the fictional character of Kate Beckett in no way, shape, or form reflect my feelings about real person Stana Katic. She is a lovely woman.

Im alittle afraid thats exactly what TPTB want - for us to hate Beckett right now. Is it to lead to a PI spin off? is it to later bring up something from Castle's missing time to "level the playing field"? or is it for a permanent break? Im not sure, but there is no way they didnt know that fans would react this way. As for SK, i think she is just happy to play the angsty part.

I am going to latch on to Ckat here...This has nothing to do with Stana Katic...how great of an actress is she that we feel this way about the character she portrays. She should get an emmy for this. She is a great lady and wow, what an actress. I object with the storyline and the way the writers think that she can just fall back into the rabbit whole. Her character defied all odds and beat herself!!! Who does that? Only a special person.  And Beckett knew it was the only way she could have Castle. She had to get right. But her disregard for Ricks feelings, at least on the outside,  is what I just  can't get around.  Before I met my wife, I went through this with someone else and it destroyed me and my friends.  And I am sure, as we have seen with Lanie, people will take sides. This is about as real as it gets. It is actually brilliant, but this is not what the show Castle is all about. This is the Great Love Story, the Epic Love Story, The Team that Can't Be Beat.  It is the one that you tell your kids about 20 years from now when they ask you about this show called Castle that they saw on TV last night.

No slack for someone who emotionally slams a good man or a good woman.  This is how great Stana is. We know she signed up for this, and she is a producer, so I expect nothing less than greatness from Stana, and Jeepers, we are getting it. The problem is going to be how deep the wounds have cut Rick, and forget Beckett, can Castle survive? We need something to tie it all together, and I am sure it is coming, but will it be too little too late?

This is almost exactly how I feel. You've put it into words perfectly. I do think that Beckett is flawed and I don't have a doubt in my mind she thinks she is keeping him and his family safe by doing this. I think honestly she's grasping at any straws that may keep them safe no matter how small. I just can't believe that Beckett would hurt him at this point without an extremely good cause. This is a great love story and I'm still grasping at my own straws to keep seeing it that way.
