I believe that in a pre-season interview, the new show runners said that this season they'd be developing the supporting characters more.While I'm OK with that to some degree, when it comes at the cost of a lot less Caskett scenes, I'm bummed. I think it all goes back to Nathan and Stana contracting for more time off during the filming schedule to pursue other things.

They are being creative about getting scenes with Castle and Beckett without being in the same room. They could have filmed this on different days.

Talking on the phone or by computer dont count as Caskett scenes to me. Sad |

OK, I actually enjoyed the sneak peek, if only because it had Castle, Beckett, Ryan and Espo working together as a team...albeit with Castle on the other side of a screen but at this point, I'm kind of desperate.

It's been a rumor for a while now and is being fed by the Caskett breakup and them filming so many scenes apart this season. Another plausible explanation is that both actors wanted more time off in order to sign up for season 8 and that's why we're seeing scenes like this. The truth is that no one knows for certain what goes on behind the scenes so I try not to stress about something for which I'll probably never get an accurate answer. |

Yeah, I think that line would be interpreted more playfully if they were still together. With them apart, even though she insists she still loves him, it can seem a little harsh. |
