I really hope that ABC steps up its Castle promos after seeing these ratings. My personal opinion is that they need more Caskett centered promos. I don't see Castle P.I. or Alexis centered promos getting former viewers to tune back in. Just my two cents... Well said, Christine. I couldn't agree more.

I had a feeling that Blindspot would trounce the completion especially with all the promotion and having the voice as a lead in. Im hoping that the momentum its shown will decrease, but as with the Blacklist, Im not holding my breath. We will probably have to deal with it all season.

Agree, Java. And hope we get new cast photos/promo photos sometime this season. Including spicy/sweet ones such as that.

Yep. I will never understand the "under-promotion" of Castle. All that's been on the radio and ABC while waiting for Castle to start Monday night, was promotion of TGIT (Thursday) shows on ABC. Grey's, Scandal, and whatever else. The ABC promotion of DWTS and, when it's due to start/in season, The Bachelor/Bachelorette. Excuse me while I go barf.
It's something I've never understood. But my understanding of the TV world is very limited.
Yeah, of all the couples on TV, Nathan & Stana are THE MOST stunning. Just sayin'.

ABC's 'Castle' Premiere is Monday's Biggest L+3 Gainer in Adults 18-49 on the Major Networks Live + 3 Day data for Monday, 9/21/15 The season premiere of ABC’s Castle shot up +58% over its L+SD Adult 18-49 rating, making it Monday’s biggest percentage gainer in TV playback on the major networks, tied with CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles. The L+3 lift for Castle was larger than Fox’s Gotham premiere (+56%) and Minority Report debut (+55%), NBC’s Blindspot debut (+42%) and CBS’ The Big Bang Theory premiere (+36%). In fact, Castle scored its biggest-ever L+3 premiere lift in Adults 18-49 (+58%). Castle grew to a 1.9 rating among Adults 18-49 (from a 1.2 in L+SD) and 10.0 million Total Viewers (from 6.8 million in L+SD) after 3 days of TV playback. tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2015/09/26/abcs-castle-premiere-is-mondays-biggest-l3-gainer-in-adults-18-49-on-the-major-networks/472064/

This is great news! I know that the live numbers are still important but I do think that the L + 3 numbers are being taken into consideration now. What this says to me is that a lot of people were curious about the new show, Blindspot, and chose to record Castle - BUT - they still definitely wanted to see Castle. With so many more now having seen part one, it'll be very interesting to see if more of them tune in for part 2 live. My fingers are crossed for somewhat of an increase in the live numbers on Monday.
Thanks for keeping us in the know when it comes to ratings martmar!

One more thing about the L+3 numbers. Please ignore the headlines talking about % increase. The only thing a big % increase usually means is that the show had a bad L+ SD (same day) number. To prove my point would you rather have Castle's number after a 58% increase or Blindspot's number with a smaller 42% increase? I thought so.
That being said the 1.9 number is pretty solid.

I've been DVRing NCIS:LA since they moved it against Castle, watching later in the week & I'll continue to, plus add Blindspot to my DVR schedule. Like a lot of people I find there are certain nights/time slots with several shows I like (Mondays at 10, & Sundays to name 2), then others where there's usually nothing "live" I'm interested in, especially Saturday night unless there's a made for TV movie I want to watch.

[/quote] I am ready to drop NCIS LA after watching the premier. It was very weak I felt. Blindspot, however, was very intriguing.
