If I have some internet I will tune in. It is very weak where I am located this summer.
Great to know that the sound has been improved. I like to listen to the podcast after it has aired in the car. It was very difficult to hear before so I stopped. Thanks for doing this!
Question: I missed a couple of episodes this summer so maybe this was explained in those? I thought Maura's father was some mob guy who was in prison? Now he is a professor who she hasn't talked to for years? This father makes more sense as her father but how did this come about? What did I miss? Can anyone explain this for me?

Her biological father is notorious mobster Paddy Doyle who is currently in prison. The professor, Arthur Isles (played by David Ogden Stiers of whom I've been a fan since M*A*S*H) is her adoptive father who raised her. I hope that clears things up. |

They didn't mention that in either this weeks episode or last weeks only in seasons past that she had adopted parents. When Jan Nash took over the series after Janet Tamero left they cut off most of her active story lines which I miss very much. Paddy was sent off to prison in California, her adopted mom disappeared to the black hole of TV land, her half sister and her real Mom went into the black hole along with Jane's father who went off to face cancer in FL. Also Jane's little brother Tommy and his son disappeared into the black hole as well. Now they killed off Susie and broke Jane's Mom Angela up with the Lt. which I really liked and he fell into the black hole as well. I don't like the seasons now without all of them. I am losing interest in the show thou I still watch I don't watch live and we lost all panel callers last season and stopped talking about it on CBR. So many left though their ratings are really good. Our panel died out for R&I. sadly.

According to BTR the only ones who will be able to listen to Hifi must be logged into our show as guests or co hosts I just got the confirm so this is a bummer I thought it meant if I upgraded it meant we would all hear it in hifi. If you listen live let me know and I can send you a link that allows you to listen live in stereo but it has to be done before a show as they give you a link to download.
I am sorry you can't hear the podcast in the car after it has gone to archives. Do you listen through BTR web site or through itunes? I know a lot of people tell me they listen through itunes and with ear phones/plugs and can hear it really well. Sometimes when we get Skype callers their connections are horrible and it causes our sound to quite frankly suck!

Skype is no longer available with hifi. You will need to invite your guests using the co-host link section on the create page or in the studio. Once you invite them, they will get an email with the link to the show and instructions. They will need a headset/mic and their audio will be in hifi if they connect that way.
Shows still go into Recording mode after the live show ends but the length of time depends on how busy the site is. If you get disconnected just bring up the direct connect keypad and click to Start Call to be reconnected. I would recommend doing a private show to test it all out first.
Your internet speed is key when calling in using Zyngaya. You would want to make sure that you are hard wired and not on a wifi connection. Also, please make sure that you do not have other tabs or browsers open or nothing is updating or running in the background. This pulls away from your bandwidth. In addition, anyone in the house using the internet connection would have an effect on your internet connection as well. This will help to maximize the bandwidth for your call.
Only those called in using direct connect will be be in hifi. You can invite any 5 people that you choose whether it is guests or co-hosts. Anyone called in via phone or skype will not be in hifi.

Ok I'm, glad it wasn't just me and my failing memory. I think it must be hard for shows to try and have back stories of the characters and have the family members a part of a show. When an actor has work they go where the money is and when you only come into a few episodes in a season that makes it hard. Castle has been lucky with Kate's dad and Castle's wives and Dad t be able to have them in a few episodes. They have done a good job of working the stories in when the actors can come on. The Rizzoli & Isles series has been all over the place with their story lines and characters.

I used to review it for TVFanatic.com but actually gave it away to another writer. Surprisingly, I'm enjoying this season but I agree about all of the characters who have simply disappeared. I was actually intrigued when they made Jane pregnant. I thought that watching Jane try and juggle being a single mom while still doing her job could have been very interesting and everyone, including Jane's family and extended family at work could have been involved in some small way. It felt like a wasted storyline when they had her miscarry. |

I unexpectedly fell in love with a shelter dog, named Sasha. I snapped a lucky photo of Sasha that led me into photography, and was potentially the photo that saved this underdog's life. Ever since then, I have been photographing shelter pets and have photographed hundreds of homeless pets, and fostered about 35 animals. I have also rescued strays, and animals to prevent them from going to the shelter. I am so blessed to have gotten where I am and I am so thankful for all the support. Saving Lives One Snapshot At A Time ♥ I began to volunteer with my local animal shelter. I'm also the Co-Founder of Kids 4 Paws, and a Speak Junior member. Did I mention I am only 16 years old? The Rolling Dog Project My goal is to provide people who CANNOT ACQUIRE a cart for their disabled pets a cart free of charge. Yes, that's what I said FREE to those in need! I custom build dog wheelchairs using pvc pipe. All carts are donated and I don't have any desire to sell them. I started bu ilding them nearly 2 years ago when one of my dogs became paralyzed from cancer and now I have another handicapped that has been in a cart her entire life.
