I like your new logo...whoops, I just now noticed it. Guess that I really am getting old and not paying attention.

TRUE CONFESSION - I'm the world's biggest sucker for Hallmark movies and the like and Amazon has figured that out from my buying history so every now and then I get a list of suggested movies. Not too long ago, I gave in and bought a couple of cheapies ($5) and one of them was called First Daughter. I chose it because Marc Blucas was the lead male and I loved his portrayal of Jeremy, the amnesiac in The Fifth Bullet from season 2 of Castle. I ADORE the movie! He plays such a wonderful part opposite Katie Holmes and their chemistry is fantastic. The movie also has a great father / daughter relationship and a wonderful soundtrack. I highly recommend it if you have similar tastes! After watching First Daughter, I went on a search for other things Marc had appeared in and it led me to a series called Necessary Roughness. It ran on a cable network from 2010 - 2013 and Marc is part of an ensemble cast. Again, I love the role he plays. I've watched the first 4 episodes so far and 3 of the 4 have had other actors I recognized from Castle, besides Marc. Episode #2 features Nic Bishop who was the fire chief in Under Fire and he also appeared with Dana Delaney in season 1 of Body of Proof. He was a police investigator who worked with the medical examiner and they had him get shot in the season 1 finale. I wish they'd have kept him. In Necessary Roughness, he is the focus of episode #2's case of the week. Episode #3 has Matt Barr as the case of the week - a race car driver who's lost his nerve. He appeared in season 2 of Castle, Inventing The Girl, as the husband of the model who was killed and he ended up being her killer. Episode #4 was a hoot because Victor Webster, who played Josh in 4 episodes, appears as a good friend of Marc Blucas and it shows them shooting hoops together and hanging out for drinks. That was weird to watch since I think of both of them in terms of their Castle characters. Anyway, bottom line is that I'm really enjoying Marc Blucas as an actor. He played basketball all 4 years of college at Wake Forest and came close to being drafted for the NBA. He ended up playing in Europe instead and has done a lot of roles that involve being a jock because he can act naturally. I remember that Seamus Dever was excited to have him on Castle because he played in a basketball league with Marc in Hollywood and said he was a great guy.

nathanfan1, I actually reviewed Necessary Roughness for TVFanatic.com back when it aired. I won't give away any spoilers but yes, I enjoyed Marc Blucas on that show as well as Mehcad Brooks who plays TK. TK probably goes through the most growth in the series. The actor now plays James Olsen on Supergirl which is a completely different character. Enjoy the show!

I think that he was in a MARRIOTT ad?!!! Some time ago, nathanfan1, Myko OLIVIER was in a HALLMARK movie in which he played a good grandson and heir; I can't recall who played his grandmother?! (:>)

I talked to someone who was a guest star on Castle today at the Phoenix ComicCon Fan Fest in Phoenix. He stopped by the Kids Need to Read Booth I was volunteering in and wanted to get a picture of him with our logo. He thought it was a good cause. Let's see who can name the Character he played and his real name.

I really enjoyed Mark Blucas as the amnesiac. Somehow I missed Necessary Roughness, but every time I see him I enjoy his performance. I thought Matt Barr did a great job as the husband so tortured by the thought that his wife was sleeping around that he killed her. Later he had a big role in the 'Hatfields and McCoys' and did a great job again. I always thought it was a shame that Myko Olivier (Pi) didn't get a better character to play in Castle. He seemed like a nice guy. I remember Molly saying that he was really planned for a much longer arc, but after everyone hated him they cut it short. He and Molly could have been a cute couple. I will never understand the showrunners and writers on Castle. It seemed like they were intent on ruining every aspect of the show.

Saw the movie "Sully" this weekend. Really good movie. Ann Cusack (stepmom Castle) was one of the flight attendants.

Been a while since this thread had any new posts but I have to share.
Annie Wersching sighting last week on NBC's new Monday drama Timeless. She was also on tonight's episode too.
Just made the connection that had Castle still been on I'd still be watching Timeless. ^^
(( And yes, I am still alive ))
