Pretty Women You've Got Mail When Pretty Woman came out, I was a teenager working at a movie theater. The movie was a huge hit and we had it at the theater for months. I worked the closing shift which meant walking through the theaters and making sure everyone left at the end of the night. Because of that, I've probably seen the last scene of this movie a hundred times!

I love "An Affair to Remember" with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. I discovered this movie in my 30's..I'm in my 50's now. I just love the old movies from long ago!

For me it is no contest - Pretty Woman, but I also love Sleepless in Seattle and American President.

And I realized upon reading geezer2008 's post that Notting Hill is probably the only Julia Roberts film I haven't seen. Seems I need to add it to my list asap.

For me, it's The Proposal and While You Were Sleeping for mainstream movies. I could make a MUCH longer list of Hallmark movies I've loved!

For those of you who listed multiple movies, isn't there one that is your VERY FAVORITE?? For me , it was an easy choice. For others, not so easy and that is fine too

For others, not so easy and that is fine too If I had to narrow it down to one, it would be Pride and Prejudice. I know a lot of people love the mini-series version with Colin Firth but that left me cold. For me, the 2005 movie with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen had all the joy and the romance I felt when reading the book.

Hi everyone! Late as usual. Sorry geezer, someone who can't just name one without mentioning a few others. Don't like Julia Roberts so nothing will make me watch Pretty Woman or Notting Hill. (that said, I did like Sleeping with the Enemy & her guest spot in Law & Order). Does Ghost count as a romance? I can believe that some people may find Falling in Love boring because Robert DeNiro and Meryl Streep play such ordinary characters, happily living their lives until they accidentally meet and realise that they are more than just friends. Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. If anyone likes Jane Eyre then I would humbly suggest Firelight. I stopped watching because I was worried I would wear out my copy. It was my absolute favorite but I think I would have to say that movie is now Moulin Rouge with Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. As much as I would have loved a happy ever after, I think that the ending was right for the story. Old movies I would have to say Valley of Decision with Greer Garson & Gregory Peck, or Random Harvest with Greer Garson & Ronald Coleman. B.

Another movie to mention would be Adjustment Bureau. Very much a fantasy but with a love story at its heart. And I must give an honorable mention to Steve Rogers aka Captain America and Peggy Carter. I am amazed that their story was woven through all those movies and that fans were given an ending that we may have wished for but never believed that we would be given. B
