I'm excited about this new spring replacement coming to ABC. It sounds similar to Castle in the sense of the sexual tension but will be a lot more action packed. I've seen it described as a comic-action thriller. The promos certainly support that description. Here's one summary: The show depicts the adventures of tough but tender FBI super-agent Will Chase (code name: Whiskey Cavalier), played by Foley. Following an emotional breakup, Chase is assigned to work with badass CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (code name: Fiery Tribune), played by Cohan. Together, they lead an inter-agency team of flawed, funny and heroic spies who periodically save the world – and each other – while navigating the rocky roads of friendship, romance and office politics. Scott Foley and Lauren Cohan star but it appears that they also lead a team that has 3 other members. The show is supposed to be previewed after the Oscars on 2/24 and then its official premier and time slot will be on Wednesday, 2/27 at 10:00 eastern and 9:00 central. I hope some of you will be watching and we can discuss it here.

I stayed up until midnight last night to watch the pilot after the Oscars. I really enjoyed the show. I found myself giggling at several of the lines and the whole silliness of the back and forth. First one of them had the upper hand and then the other would come roaring back and take over. There was a surprising twist at the end that I never saw coming in regards to the mission they were on, and there was also a touching moment that, perhaps, laid the groundwork for furthering the relationship between the 2 leads.
There's also a supporting character that will now be part of the team and he definitely had some great lines. I don't remember his name but he was a tech/hacker guru.
I got a kick out of the exploding tampon that was featured in one of the spoof commercials, actually used to save the day in this episode.
All in all, it was definitely entertaining and I look forward to watching more. That being said though, after watching, I was struck by the realization that there will never be a show that equals the chemistry that Castle had IMO!

FYI, ABC will be reshowing the pilot episode this Wednesday.
We just watched it. My daughter loved it. It's a fun show. I wonder what the budget is because they had some great location shots.
I love Scott Foley who plays Will Chase/Whiskey Cavalier, (formerly on The Unit and Scandal) and he's perfect in this role. I don't think I've ever seen Lauren Cohan before but I liked her a lot here.
The show appears light on story but lots of fun dialogue, action, and character chemistry. I'm curious to see where these 13 episodes go.

I enjoyed the pilot. It will be interesting to see if they continue to use Europe as where they film the rest of the episode.
I loved “The Unit”. I wondered if anyone else knew he was in that show.

I loved The Unit too, tycho657. It was one of my and my husband's favorite shows. Stana Katic even had a one-episode guest role on it before Castle.

I believe I read that they are filming all of the first season episodes in and around Prague. Scott Foley mentioned in an interview that he moved his entire family over there for the duration of the filming. He has kids that are in school and he specifically mentioned the change for them.

Yes Scott was on GMA this morning. He seemed to be such a nice guy. He talked about moving his family to Prague. They have 3 kids under 9. He is lucky to have a supportive wife. I hope the series is successful. I never noticed Stana on The Unit.

For $1.99 I just watched the episode. Stana had a nice guest role in this episode. I wonder if the Castle people watched it before their hired her for Castle? The music was by Rob Duncan who did the music for Castle. I thought I remembered that he said he had done the music for The Unit. Max Martini didn't have any scene's with Stana but he was Hal Lockwood on Castle.
