I have to say I don’t really remember this episode. When I read this discription I see why. Caskett is not on the case, no fun, no great banter it is gone...
I was really hoping they would start letting the other actors get a chance at a focused episode. We never saw Lanie, or Espo get the chance. They did give Ryan 2 episodes didn’t they? Recently when Nathan was in an interview for the Rookie he was asked who he thought was the best actor he had worked with. He thought for a minute and said Seamus Denver.    I thought that was interesting . I wonder if he will get a guest role on the Rookie?

I agree, Tycho, that the magic was gone any time Caskett wasn't working together. If they'd only kept Kate as a detective at the 12th and focused on the growing and changing Caskett relationship, as well as the supporting characters, I think the show would have been infinitely more satisfying in those later seasons.
