As much as I hated the whole idea of Kate moving to work for the Feds, I did like seeing Castle make an effort to show her that he could adjust and they could be happy anywhere as long as they were together. I loved the scene where she jumped into his arms! It was also interesting to see how they both handled the very real threat of death.

I liked everything you mentioned about this episode but was disappointed that there wasn't more emotion around Castle's near death experience at the end. I wanted some declaration of love between him and Kate at the end and never got it.  |

Fossie, now I feel like I should go back and rewatch this episode. I remember being oddly let down by the ending but don't remember exactly why. My guess is that it's what you describe. And I think I only watched this episode once although I watched part 1 several times, which says a lot right there.
