Hi everyone
I'm not sure how many of you will have access to this series but it started in the UK on July 17th.
Hmm, not sure. It seems that although there will be a murder of the week, it is more of a continuation type of series. It starts by showing someone in a hoodie covering a body in a covering in a boat with what turns out to be cement and then throwing it over the side. That scene is also part of the intro. Harrow then quits his job because of what seems to be the usual, divorce and kid, daughter in this instance, in trouble. She had taken some kind of overdose but as soon as she was able, left the hospital. Harrow promises to take her away on his boat just the two of them. She turns up only for him to say that he has to stay. The reason? The body seen in the beginning has resurfaced and we are shown that Harrow was the one who dumped the body. Question now is did he kill the person, why? Will the ex wife forgive him for bailing on their daughter? Will the daughter turn her life around?
Not sure that it will last.

If anyone gets to see this series I hope you will post as I have now lost access to the channel that was showing the series. I am not the only cable customer that is furious.

Ok so viewing has been restored as the channel has been reinstated. Hopefully I will be able to pick up this series as whilst it features a murder of the week, there is a continuous story running through each episode which all seems to tie back to what was revealed at the very end of the first episode.

B I found a place to watch on my PC and did catch a few episodes before I went on my road trip. I will have to wait until I return to watch more. I hope they are still there when I return.

1st episode back after I lost the channels and stuff has happened which is what I was anticipating. As I said, it may be a 'murder of the week' but there is a continuous story running through the episodes. It concerns Harrow and his ex-wife and estranged daughter. I have no idea what happened with the daughter but suddenly she is dealing drugs for a very specific reason and it's not what she expected. The drugs create horrendous visions in the taker. We then get back to the first episode when a body was recovered from the water. The bones are sent away to be cremated. The cop that Harrow enjoyed an easy, on the same page, professional relationship with now seems to have progressed to a personal one. She is then seen going through missing persons profiles online and comes across a cop. We then see the ex-wife trying to find her daughter's sleeping bag as the wife is going camping and in a box removed is a photo of the cop with the wife... I am completely lost as to what happened in those missing episodes. Also given that the daughter has dealt drugs and Harrow is somehow involved with that body, to me this is dark and I don't know how they will resolve these crimes.

I would really love to be able to watch Ioan again, but I guess I will have to content myself with reading spoilers!!! I already am paying for three streaming services and just can’t justify another one at this point. Love the pic!

Ok, so the UK just saw the final episode of S1 (I believe S2 is definitely on) and I don't know how I feel about the ending. There is a serious moral dilemma concerning Harrow. I understand what he did, what he will always do, is protect his daughter. And whilst Harrow tells his daughter she should have gone to the police, Harrow didn't go to the police either nor does his assistant who has now done something which protects Harrow. It ends on a cliffhanger and I am curious to see who finds him as his daughter has just left with her boyfriend and the police officer he was seeing has called an end to the relationship. I just hope it's not a time jump - hate those! - but an immediate follow up from when he is found. B

I blinked and missed the trailer but it looks as if the UK will be starting the second season on July 18th... I could be wrong about the date because as I said, it flashed on the screen and was over before I realised what it was. I can't even remember what channel had it! B

2nd season has just started and the police believe they have solved what happened to Harrow at the end of the 1st season. However, Harrow knows otherwise and he now has to figure out how to stop the revenge. B

Just curious, I've never watched Harrow and was wondering just how dark and intense it is. I have Hulu and was thinking about checking it out.

I've only seen the 1st and last episodes of the first season of Absentia and it is nowhere near as dark or intense. Just a moral issue. Understanding why Harrow does what he does but should he get away with it? That is the 1st season. And although you get the 'murder of the week' there is the continuation of the Harrow dilemma every episode in some small but important way. The 2nd season deals with the cliffhanger although the police believe that matter has been solved, Harrow knows otherwise. If you do decide to give it a go, I would love to read your opinion PTVJ. B

So, after the 4th episode of S2 I am worried as to how this season will end and right now, I don't think that it will end well for Harrow. Hopefully he will be able to put the psycho back behind bars or even better, put him out of his misery but Harrow would need to see him die. B

So, Harrow S2 just ended in the UK. I've only seen the final 2mins and can't wait to see the episode to find out what actually happened. Harrow appears to be more than ok. The relationship he would like to have with a colleague is still a non-starter as she reminded him of his rules of dating her. There was a new mystery but oddly enough if this series does not get a 3rd season, I won't be that disappointed because whilst I would love to know where they will take it and the effect it will have not just on Harrow but his ex-wife and daughter, S2 appears to have had a satisfying ending. So for me it was wow! I would love to know if there are any other shows which has a moral dilemma as a constant for one of its main characters. It took a very interesting turn for me when it came to the psycho as you were given a reason as to why he was the way he was. However once again Harrow did what he felt he had to do in order to protect his daughter. I didn't expect it to end that way but it was a case of the psycho believing he had the upper hand over Harrow and making the mistake of threatening Harrow with the information that he had. As I have said, I would certainly continue to watch this series but if it didn't get another series, I will be not that disappointed. B
