So where did you go to school? What field of study did you do? Many fields of study have schools that specialize in undergraduate degrees. Not every degrees requires a higher degree. I have a degree in music and who teaches at a school does make a difference for my degree. I also have a MME that was required, in the state I the teaching in at the time, to keep my teaching certificate. When I moved to a new state I couldn't even get an interview for a position because iI thetoo expensive. Every field has challenges. Good luck with your studies.

So where did you go to school? What field of study did you do? Every field has challenges. Good luck with your studies. So true. For various reasons, I dropped out of college my senior year and spent a decade shuffling along in various vocations. But then my brother and cousin decided to go to SMU for the A+ and Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) course in 2000. I went there after they finished. I believe only 4 of us went to take our tests at independent offices. After I achieved my MCSE, the economy collapsed and I couldn’t find a computer job for several years and worked as a loan officer but failed at it and was basically fired and had to quit (manager told me to). I ended up working at a computer store, CompUSA I think. After 3 months, SBC Global approached me and offered me a job. I quit and ran even though they loved me so much that they offered me an assistant manager position. I guess that’s because I was dependable, showed up on time, and worked all day Christmas Eve when nobody showed up. I ended up as a contracted junior System Engineer for 16 months until they bought AT&T and I was to lose my job. I was about to become a permanent employee at 18 months. At this time, my cousin was working at a data center and that company needed another employee and I got that job! Permenant position. Junior position and became a senior after 2 years I think. My cousin went into a different position that allowed him to work at home. I stayed and transferred to another data center when a postition was open. It was a much older data center, 20 years I think, and had many servers, mainframes, and switches and routers. I was there for 10 years until I became disabled. I’m now on longterm disability. I miss my job. Loved it!!!

I have plan to study Masters degree at Amsterdam business school. The Amsterdam Business School (ABS) is part of the University of Amsterdam (UvA), and its ethos reflects the university’s traditions as an international, entrepreneurial, intellectual and socially responsible community. My major will be finance. I found full information about this school on www.accessmasterstour.com/school/amsterdam-business-school I hope my plan will come true.

Thanks for sharing your story, java. Most interesting Thank you! If I recall correctly, glad to have met you last year. 😃 And many thanks to Castlekat/kat for flying 1,000 miles, twice, when I was in the hospital. There’s a fantastic photo of her holding my hand to her cheek with me passed out in bed. She’s so supportive!!! ❤️❤️❤️ She’s no longer active here.
