Here's what Nathan has to say about the role in this week's TV Guide:
"I'm a version of me that I think people imagine me to be," Fillion says. "Personable, but a little Hollywood."
The sitcom's mom, Katie, and her daughter, Taylor, hunt down the former Firefly star at a sci-fi convention.

Watching DWTS....just saw a preview for the episode.....Nathan has a line where he says to Katie something along the lines of "I don't sign boobs anymore".

I caught the promo that ABC did with Nathan’s appearance in the 2 shows. Sure wish they could have given Castle some of that promo time...

How is it May 9th already. This month is already flying by! I need to record both of these shows tonight so I don't miss them.

They did some nice nods to Castle tonight on the show. Nathan played a shallow clueless version of a “tv” star. He did have more than one line. They even played a promo for Nathan’s new show “The Rookie”.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised they mentioned "Castle" a few times, especially when he was telling the daughter how long it took for Castle and Beckett to get together....the point being is to wait and not rush into getting intimate. It was a surprising good episode.

I haven't watched American Housewife yet but I recorded it. I saw Modern Family and was surprised what a waste of time his appearance was. He only had one short line at the very end!

I agree that the Modern Family 'guest star' appearance was a joke, but I did enjoy American Housewife. It was fun to see Nathan just being Nathan. I, too, was surprised at all of the Castle talk but I enjoyed how well they tied it into the theme with the daughter and prom. My favorite moment, however, was when he hung up his Mal coat and said that he dressed up for himself. Knowing how deeply he cares about his Firefly experience, I thought that was spot on. From what I understand, he'll make one more appearance at the social function that the mom is in charge of and he may even ride in on an elephant! That I want to see!

I think you're right, nathanfan1. I have been watching ABC last night and tonight, and they've been advertising tomorrow's American Housewife. They keep showing a clip of Nathan riding the elephant; I forget exactly what it is that he says in the clip.

The American Housewife Season 2 finale airs tonight, so we'll see if Nathan makes a second appearance...but it does say something about the plan for the Spring Gala falling apart...so we'll see.
