Here is an article with the cover art and a look at the new book. They have the book cover split between the center screen. :: nods :: When I watched the episode the second time through the day after I had to pause to get a good look at the background and was like ... that isn't a cover we've seen before. Then this sneak peek of the cover art comes along and it's like "Hey, I recognize this." |

I'm using self control here. I could not resist seeing the cover art but refuse to read anything from the book itself. I love the anticipation of the new book come September and refuse to taint my pleasure. I know it is silly, but every couple years, I will read them all again to prepare for the new book and this is the YEAR. LOL at myself here, but I will mourn when they stop writing them. I have found them fun and entertaining.

So, if we are reading between the lines....is Beckett a Captain in waiting? And is "Irons" Gates going bye bye ( or promoted ) at the end of the season(or sooner). If that is the case, then the Senate can wait for a couple of years....just saying.

I love the books and can't wait for the next one. I am missing the spring Derek Storm book we usually get about now. Last year when Wild Storm came out they didn't make the audio book available on on Amazon thru audible books. Instead you could only get CD's for about $60?? I tweeted Terri about the missing version. she said she would look into it. I usually listen as we drive on long trips. Well we finally got the audible version of "Wild Storm" in May. But we didn't get the usual Storm new book. Andrew Marlowe did talk about working on a new Derrick Storm TV series for ABC when he was at the Castle Con in November. I noticed that it was not picked up as a new series for the fall. I am still hoping to see it as one of the mid season replacements for a failed new series. Maybe at that time we will also get a new Storm book? They didn't put out a new Storm graphic novel either. Maybe they didn't sell very well? |
