Nathan Fillion in Cars 3

The Cars 3 cast members are hitting the trail doing promos and interviews prior to the opening. Here's a quote from an interview with the Director about working with Nathan:




Oh, and Nathan Fillion… I’m wasn’t surprised to hear Brian Fee gush over how charming in person Nathan is because it comes through in pretty much every character I’ve ever seen him play. Brian claimed that he’s a fast worker, high energy and very gracious. “He’ll give you seven takes, they’re all perfect, they’re all different, but they’re all perfect. So, whichever one you use, you left six great takes on the floor that you can’t use.” Producer Kevin Reher shared how much Nathan loves animation, “He flew himself up to Pixar to meet us before we even cast him in Cars 3, just because he loves animation and wanted to come and see Pixar.” I vote that he get his own movie. I don’t care what it’s about… I would totally go see it.

Here's the link to a radio interview Nathan did as part of the cars 3 promo tour. He's right at the beginning of the program and they talk about the movie, but what I really enjoyed was the great questions the host had about his career in general. The interview covers a lot of ground.

Thanks nathanfan1 for linking that interview. They talked about many things in his career. I loved when he said his family didn't think his being an actor was anything to go crazy over. I think that helps ground an actor if they have family that reminds them who they are.
It will be interesting to see if Nathan continues doing small roles now that he has experienced being a lead in an hour show and all of the long hours and work that takes to do.

They did a press event for Cars 3. the actors go from person to person giving interviews. I will put up some links if you want to listen. Many responses are the same but usually each interviewer comes up with a unique question.

I think this might have been after the premier? A panel done at the theater? It is all press people in the audience asking the questions.

Thanks for posting all of these interview links, Tycho. I've watched many of them and they do get very repetitive. Those guys must be blitzed at the end of a day like that. I enjoyed the official Disney one with more of the cast the best. The gal who plays the bus is hysterical and I love hearing Mater's voice come out of Larry!
